However, unlike Random_Korean, I'm confident that Duke will hold it down for the East Conference and win it in the final =]. On the other hand, there's definitely room for upsets here. In the East, Toronto, with a little big of magic, might be able to 3-2 Duke, and likewise, the Assem/MasterAsia duo might just be able to carry GT to a big win versus Duke if they meet again in the East Final. In the West, I'm not much of an expert, but I can see Texas upsetting UCSB, and I think that both of the West Ro8 games will be excellent. Disclaimer: I haven't scouted Waterloo or most of the Western teams very closely. Please chime in with your own opinions!

East Toronto - JF ... he's strong but rusty, although he's a "famous" player so people think he's godly (even though it was proven recently that he is far from godly as he lost a match) - LegendaryDreams ... he's a B- Terran, nothing special here Georgia Tech - Assem ... former progamer, but a) he's still rusty, b) doesn't care about CSL, c) bo1 games... - MasterAsia ... he's nothing more than a B- zerg, he's not special - Tannman + eleven aren't more than C level players McGill - Freaky ... solid zerg, who plays well under pressure; but he's beatable (sorry Sami <3) - pho ... he's like C/C+ max level player Duke - Nony ... former progamer, really strong, probably best player in CSL - Derivatives ... B level protoss - Cameron ... probably C+/B- level terran? the other guys who've played aren't too great, but they have some who haven't played and probably another B- guy. Rutgers, MIT, Princeton, Waterloo aren't that great. Waterloo has a B- player and some C dudes. West UVic - baechigi ... best player in CSL according to record, he's like 9-1 - HazrD probably C zerg - Prime probably C toss UC Irvine - FirA ... old school good player, probably C+/B- level protoss - Darrenc ... C+ toss - rabbiT ... C zerg UCSB - trypt [7-0] ... B- zerg - arsenic [6-0] ... C/C+ zerg - eugyo [5-1] ... C/C+ zerg - moto ... C+ terran UCSD - xeris ... C+ toss - jaeyun ... B zerg - randomkr ... B- zerg - Cheese ... C+ toss Chicago - baller ... C/C+ terran - acolderwar ... C/C+ terran dunno about the other teams .... so basically, if you look at skill distribution; there are about 4 teams in each division with a starting lineup of C or higher players, most of them have at least 1 b- player. Duke obviously fields multiple B- and better players, but so does UCSD (we have 2 players who have achieved B rank, and Cheese just got B- and I'm probably capable of reaching B-, as is JeeSu and CoRa)... The only difference is that there is nobody in the West who is widely recognized as being really good. Nobody knows who baechigi is, what his high rank is, etc. Nobody knows Jaeyun (he only has 2 posts on TL), people know me but not because of my gaming... nobody knows RandomKr except for his trash talk on TL... and the UCSB guys are totally unknown. The East has "stars" like Assem, Nony, and IefNaij... and they have self-made stars like MasterAsia (but seriously if you watch him play he's nothing special). So ya... O_O; I highly doubt that the East is just going to breeze through the final. I can guarantee a good match from whoever comes out of the West, whether it be us, UCSB, or UVic (my guess as to who will come out of the West).
