That would be useful, if I could get it to work. First I got a "storm.dll" not present error, then when I just copy/pasted it in the InfectedStarcraft folder, it gave me another error, "failed to load libraries" or something, then a message popped up saying that I need to reinstall starcraft. Can you tell me how to use Infected Starcraft?

It must be put in the SC folder, and you need to adapt the .injlist file to list the dlls you want to load.
|
I get a "LoadLibrary failed 998" when I try to run multipleinstances.dll The other plug-ins seem to work fine.
|
Germany2896 Posts
did you extract the multipleinstances.ini too?
|
I extracted the whole folder to my starcraft folder (where starcraft.exe is located), I tried changing hijackinstall to 1. Maybe it's because I'm one Windows 7?
|
Well I found an interesting thing. It doesn't work if I start it normally with Wine. But if I run Chaoslauncher through the Wine debugger, winedbg, it doesn't crash, and the plugins I tested - APMAlert and LatencyChanger - worked properly. ICCup launcher worked properly too. I'm feeling strongly that this is something to do with how debugging works in Wine and I'm following up with the Wine devs. Thanks for your input MasterOfChaos.

Could anyone make a plugin for ChaosLauncher to allow multiple instances of SC:BW to be launched on one computer? It would be useful for a school project of mine.
|
do you have any idea how to finish my window mode?
all the other plugins work fine and I've redownloaded iccup launcher and chaos many times when i open it in window mode it just opens minimized and i can't bring it up.

You can't do it with Chaoslauncher. But you can do it using InfectedStarcraft or SCLoader2b.
|
Well what I need is a to run multiple instances of BWAPI in windowed mode.
|
Germany2896 Posts
Both of these programs can do that. If you did't get infectedstarcraft to work, perhaps try scloader2b.
|
It would b absolutly awesome if you could use the 2x feature of the window mode in fullscreen. When you got a big LCD, there would be much less upscaling and a better picture (aka nicer pixels ^^)
|
I had chaoslauncher dl'd on my lappie, but I'm trying to DL it onto this computer with Windows 7 and I'm getting an "unexpected end of archive" error.
idunno what that means ~_~
EDIT: and when i try to extract anyway it says the format is either unknown or damaged. wtf.
|
^You probably need to redownload the file.
But I have a problem of my own. I'm running Windows Vista (x64 if it matters), and for some reason none of the plugins work. Chaoslauncher loads Starcraft up fine and I do notice that I can see peoples dl (where it says 101 if they have the map), but nothing else works, I can't see apm or the time or anything.
I HAVE CHECKED THE PLUGIN BOXES AND AM RUNNING CHAOSLAUNCHER AS ADMINISTRATOR!! I've seen that posted as a suggestion in a few other places but that's not my problem. I also recently upgraded to Windows 7 and tried to play sc on it. I copied the chaoslauncher folder directly from my Vista partition to my Win 7 partition and everything worked fine (even wloader which I am running as a plugin through chaoslauncher) except for the fact that Starcraft doesn't play well with Windows 7 =[ So I'm assuming it's a problem with Vista but I have no idea what it could be. Any ideas on stuff I could try? Thanks in advance!

That would be the log, right? Also forgot to mention it does save the replays correctly as well.
EDIT: Just realized some of this is probably from playing on Windows 7 because I copied it back over to Vista to see if it works, I'll go play a game and post the log again after that. Thanks
EDIT2: Here is the new log. Just played a quick ums game. I got wloader working somehow, but it kept saying the message it usually says only at the start of the game. Still couldn't see apms or timer, though.

That's Chaosplugin.log and it looks fine to me. I was talking about Chaoslauncher.log. But probably I won't be able to help you since I haven't worked with vista/win7 yet. And if you find the solution yourself, please post it here so other people can profit from it.

MoC is there any chance you can add a feature that reduces the amount of wait time need when you join a game and the lat is to high and you get the msg "Latency is too high to creator" Right now its like 4-5 seconds, why waste that time if you can reduce it to 1-3 seconds?
