Thank you oh so very much for the read. It has changed my sc2 gameplay and will hopefully change the Game as a whole to bring back the moving shot. I know at least I will be bitching on the beta forum about it. Amazing article. Front page worthy.

Nice Video of StarCraft history you should really check this out. it filled me with confidence, that starcraft 2 will be as cool as the first part.

Nice Video of StarCraft history you should really check this out. it filled me with confidence, that starcraft 2 will be as cool as the first part. Sc2 has not such a solid ground to evolve as BW had it. That kind of argument it's irrelevant. Btw, couldn't agree more on that part now. + Show Spoiler + On June 30 2010 02:59 LaLush wrote: It disgusts me that every time I see someone on these forums bash down on a flaw in the game, all he’s ever met with is the same generic response: “Yes but Starcraft II is a different game, ’other’ types of micro/whatever might show up in the future as it develops and evolves”. Who knows, those arguments might hold true, although I personally doubt they will. We’re entirely missing the point arguing in such a way though. Why in the first place should we be accepting that Starcraft II is regressing in to a more primitive form than its predecessor? Isn’t this, after all, the sequel, as opposed to the prequel? How does Dustin Browder explain the fact that air units in SC2, the sequel, suddenly regressed and lost their ability to maneuver while firing? Is there perhaps a disturbance in the Khala? Start demanding more out of Blizzard! I implore you all not to settle for less than you deserve. Let’s at least demand that Blizzard put the micro back in a game that was already robbed of its macro!

but its not like blizzard or particular dustin browder said: yeah we hate all our community and we just watch out for the money. we want to make starcraft 2 a facebook-platform only for people on same continent with a flashgame called starcraft 2 without any micro/macro/tactics or toughts in it. sorry but this kind of thinking is also irrelevant. starcraft 2 is an independent game and just watch how it evolved only in the first beta-month. remember one-base-roach or imba voidrays, big thors? only with the help of the community blizz could change those lacks of balance.

SC2 is better thought out, with the knowledge gained from SC1 and the flaws inherent in it, and already from playing the beta is a much better and more dimensional game. This is my opinion, don't try to argue me out of it.

Nice Video of StarCraft history you should really check this out. it filled me with confidence, that starcraft 2 will be as cool as the first part. I'm not entirely sure if you read the entire article but it doesn't have anything to do with balance, the entire argument he brings up is a mechanic in the starcraft engine called move shot. I guarantee you Blizzard has working versions of SC2 with the moving shot, it's just an entirely different game with it implemented. Your changing the variables of every unit in the game that blows YEARS of balancing out of the water, because of the changes in the gaming market that is simply impossible to backtrack, 12 years ago when you made fuck all for a video game anyways it wasn't a big deal. Now... you can't push it back to implement that. You can burn Browder at the stake but at the end of the day were all to blame for the way the industry changed, you can't expect Blizzard to understand what made SC what it is when they created this engine and started balancing.

Most people that say otherwise just can't get move on and will never be satisfied with anything but a 1 for 1 copy of SC1... which is SC1.

We would make a hardcore gamemode. Aren't we already able to edit in Moving shot? the problem with this is that it would split the community and thats not a good thing. It would be difficult to hold big tournaments for both SC2 versions. Theres a thread where this guy changed the units in SC2 and made them way better, however i doubt blizzard is going to make these changes, but who knows, it could happen. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=125146

sc2=/=scbw there are new mechanics and just because the old ones dont work doesnt mean we wont find some new ones. Look at progamers play this game they rarely ever lose to bad BOs. They lose most often to positioning and micro.
