The sc2sig.com logo can be more discreet (aligned more so in the corner) --the very logo itself is a reference to the site, after all. What you have so far is pretty good, and some experimentation with different fonts and sizes won't hurt either. Forcing to display a certain league seems like a good idea, as I doubt there will be many people interested in displaying 3v3 and 4v4 stats, should they play those. As for the fonts/layout, you are free to arrange them as you like, but looking to imitate how the bnet profile page displays may be good as well--achievements and name tucked neatly together, with the server region somewhere to the side. The name and server will be pretty obvious, so those don't need to be very big. I think this size is perfect.

Different styles for different needs. Great work so far.

Its way to big, i tried posting it as a sig on a forum,i failed because that forum dosent alow bigger images in the sig than 500x100
|
i am trying some different sizes, preview for the "line-version":
yes, it contains ELO, has been requested a lot and i will look into it
stats would then be: league (1v1) rank (23.) elo/points (244) winratio (65%)
name Leidenschaft
achievement points (1337)
above the small sc2sig.com url is some place left for the optional character id
what do you think about the size?
|
Id like a medium one, like 500x100 the small version you posted above is too long to fit into my sig Try making 3 sizes with a round no of pixels (eg 250 , 500, 100 , 64 etc) The most popular website for creating wow sigs makes them 436px × 64px

Thx for the service man, keep up the good work.
i think the signature could use much smaller fonts, since it is just a signature and not a banner ad. A minimalistic version would be great, even smaller than the line version that you are trying out atm.
get your own starcraft 2 signature at sc2sig.com

500x30 "line"-version 2:
(dumped achievement points)
|
the icon for random seems SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than the protoss/terran/zerg icons.
Edit: Nevermind, not on the thinner line style
|
love the 500x30 line v2 I think the space between the nick and sc2sig.com is so big because you expect some users to have long names id use that version right away, so ... when will it be ready ?
|
Anyone else who's sc2 website says "No character available?" :/
|
One line version looks nice but I'd prefer if the flag and name should come before everything else. And I think the words rank, WLR(win loss ratio) or wins and losses should be included since those numbers look really random.
Maybe do it how blizzard does it on their ladder summary page with the 1v1 on top and wins/losses right below. Something like
1v1 - 400 points 20 wins - 9 losses

436x64, "medium" preview:
i like it
@adi1133: exactly. worst case should be WWWWWWWWWWWW which is very, very long... i'll implement the preview versions as soon as i am (and you are) happy with their layout.
|
Looks nice, just need to add the word rank and maybe rd/th/nd after the number. And something to fill the empty space on the right =p
|
line v2 and medium version look badass ! nice work Leidenschaft !
|
Looks pretty awesome!
|
Very nice, does it auto-update at all?
Edit: and im liking the 436x64 one best by far.
|
I like how the medium one looks the best, but for some reason the new battle net stuff doesn't think I have a character, so I can't make use of it, haha.
|
Omg, that last one looks great!
If peoples names are too long, can't you just make it trail off into "..." or something of the kind? I really, really like the 436x64 signature. The only thing on it that I can nitpick is the ranking. 1v1: 23. It seems a bit weird looking. Maybe 1v1: Rank 23?
Really, though. I thoroughly love that last one! Great stuff!
Btw, I don't think you should worry about the empty space. You may end up finding a use for it later and it doesn't hurt to have right now. If you use transparency you can fix any problems with extra space easily, I think.
You are awesome for doing something like this!
=D
|
Maybe add number of games and the winrate. And yeh, add the rank.
|
No character available
how do I fix that?
|
Well, he has the winrate there in the bottom right, haha. You can probably figure out the number of games he's played by applying the winrate to his number of total wins. If he has 50 wins and a 50% winrate then he's played 100 games, for example.

Anyway, some extra feedback!
I own a forum dedicated to Armored Core and I don't allow sig images over 600x150 with a total sig size of 600x200. It just starts taking up too much vertical space. The other thing is that the more someone see's your sig, the less likely they are to want to see it again right away. It starts to become something people ignore looking at once they've recognized it. In other words, they'll just scroll right by it. Smaller sigs tend to be less of a hassle to scroll by, while still being eye-catching. This means people are more likely to spend time actually looking at your sig and not just seeing it as they scroll by. If you think about it a bit, you'll probably realize you've done that before yourself. Haha.
I generally encourage sig sizes of about 500x100 since that doesn't take up much space while still allowing for most kinds of pictures/art. Your best bet would be to go by that 436x64 version and maybe a secondary smaller version that's sized like a "userbar" which is 350x19. It's easy to find examples on Google if you don't know what they look like, haha. Though you probably do. I'd make the userbar version text only with bare essential stats only.
Another thing to keep in mind is that everyone tends to like looking at their own sig, but most people don't like looking at other peoples. So when some people want some stats in their sigs to show, it's likely they rarely ever look at those stats in other peoples sigs. Be careful about adding too much information to these kinds of signature images, but do try to keep them clear and easy to understand.
Definitely keep up the great work! Looking forward to future versions. I definitely know a few people who would appreciate them. (I have 30 SC players on my Armored Core forum of 200 members) Haha. SC is just so popular!
