It is a REALLY old game that basically hooked me into gaming. PLayed it A LOT before I went to war2 and the other games. Anyways it is a really old and basic game but it would mean a lot if someone were able to track it down for me.
I am really bad with A. finding and B. knowing what to do in terms of dl'ing things like this. So if anyone could take the time to make that easy for me I would be forever grateful.
omgogmogm kinda excited now rofl

STARCRAFT TRAINING FOR CASH
I have/am currently training a few individuals for a small fee and it dawned on me: I am broke, I play lots of SC, I can help.. why not combine the two?
All conditions, elements and aspects are negotiable and obviously the customer is the boss. But for others I have done
-Ventrillo speak for optimal communication of what can be discussed ie improvements both in the game we are playing, the post-game replay and anything else. -2 hours of gaming with any mu's required, any map and any tech mu or micro etc. -access to my replays or pairings with any of my training partners/friends that are online.
I currently charging 10$ an hour. This can be paid via Pokerstars, Fulltilt or PayPal. Typical session length is 2 hours but all these things are negotiable/flexible. I have no preference over method of payment.
Again this can be altered by the trainee in any way you like.
My Resume:
Zerg: Main race. Won a national championship. Regularly qualify for big tourneys. Compete for team EG in WGTCL Division1 as well as other leagues. Have been playing for 11 years. Various lan titles, top finishes etc.
Protoss: Second best race. About C+/B- level in all 3 mu's. best with PvT->PvP->PvZ but apt in all 3. My knowledge is extensive however as many of my friends for the past 11 years have been top protoss players and being the avid replay fanatic I am I have an idea of how the race is played on just about every map/mu.
Terran: Terran is a difficult race for me to play.. my tvt is bad and my tvz is cheesy however my mech vs is very good but my tvp is actually quite good. I am probably around a C level T user. Again my knowledge is really useful.. I can watch a replay and tell you what you did wrong and what you need to do to improve. Additionally, watching your terran or playing as terran vs you I can still very well inform you what the typical/optimal counters are and what you are doing wrong. Just because T is my worst race to play doesn't mean my coaching is ineffective!
I am not the greatest player but I am in fact a great teacher in my humble opinion
Anyways this could be a good thing so post in here or PM me if you want it private. All rules/prices/elements can be shaped and molded to best suit you.

Also a little shy/nervous when I'm talking with someone whose talent and skill far surpasses my own. Something I'd like to add is that Geoff really gets into detail about how to make you a better player. He really went into depth about how miniscule mistakes can cost you a game which i probably should have brought over from poker. His knowledge on the meta game, as well as his experience playing is just amazing. Another thing that surprised me was G5 and Machine's readiness to step in and help as well. From my past experience with a few other top players, is that they seemingly look down on those who are not of their caliber. This completely changed my opinion on them, and made me realize that they literally are your average people who enjoy playing a game and are willing to help others who are striving to be better. Even though I have been playing since 1999, I realized just how much there is left to learn, and the skill gap between a C player, such as myself, and an A ranked player is probably larger than the difference between a C player and a D/D- one.

I'm definitely looking to do it again ! :-D <3 inc and shout out to LZGAMER FOR BEING AWESOME

We practiced PvZ and I learned a lot about timings and neat little tricks that can be used to get a small advantage against a zerg user, which included a few timings and map positioning. G5 and Machine stopped in and gave me a bit of advice as well. Overall it's great for any aspiring player, and I highly recommend him. Good luck Geoff and have fun at the poker tables.

He explained everything that I did right, explained everything I didn't why why I have to do it. All in all it is a great help. iNc is a really cool and chill guy. He takes the training session at your pace and doesn't really force you to do stuff. He tells you what you should do and then explains why and how you should go about doing it. I had a good time, iNc is very friendly and knows a lot about the game and has a ton of knowledge to share with you. I am def going to have to do this some more :D

First off I only did this because he's reputable and I knew he wouldn't steal my cash etc etc so if you're worried about that don't be.
I'm currently a D+/C-(on a good day) zerg and at first while we were playing I really thought this wasn't going to help me at all. It's a bit overwhelming because he's much much better than me and I just felt like I paid 20$ to get noob bashed by incontrol which while cool,(I can brag to my friends I got beat by the bear that can't DDR) I really didn't think it was going to help me. Then when we got to watching replays is where I got my money's worth. He will go over in detail the things that you fuck up during the game. No overlord here didn't take your 4th gas fast enough etc etc etc. A lot of the things that he told me were things I knew but he elaborated why it's important. I know it's important to have ovys across the map but I didn't really understand that it was so I could setup my army for flanks etc I knew I had to scout his gateway count but I wasn't really sure what the difference between 4 gateways and 6 gateways meant. It's the elaboration on the subtle things that are important. For me I think we both realized quickly that I can become flustered easily and just go straight into panic mode.
Overall it was worth 20$ and I'll probably continue once I've worked on my absolute terrible points that we discovered together.
Pros: He will help you even if he tells you all things you know he will elaborate and explain different reasons, that you may not even be aware of, for why you should do different things. On top of that he will relate the things you do well to how you can improve the things you do poorly(for me this was drone saturation and most of my building timings)
Cons: It's a bit discouraging and you're not going to beat him unless you're already pretty capable of competing with him and it may frustrate you but he won't just let you win to make you feel better.
+ Show Spoiler + On October 23 2009 06:11 category wrote: I just got my first lesson from Geoff. Overall, the session was definitely worth the money. We played some games in the matchup and on the map of my choice, and after each game we watched the replay and he talked about my mistakes. I'm only a D level player, so he was probably taking it a little easy on me in the games, but at the same time he made sure to punish me for big mistakes, especially my poor map control. That way it was really strong reinforcement, because I could see pretty clearly the consequences of my mistakes.
I think he's a good teacher. He was really patient with me when I wasn't understanding the things that he was saying (he would repeat or rephrase as needed). Another big plus for me was his flexibility with scheduling and his promptness with starting the session on time.

I have problems with zerg vs. bionic terran so that's what we focused on. What I learned was really helpful and will definatly push me up a notch. Inc asked me to write this with pros and cons but I can't actually think of any cons. The cost is really low (I mean come an 20 bucks? I'm a studen and can afford that, no probs) and it's not just what he's saying it's how he says it. I never felt like he was a pompous asshole (which some better players can become while teaching). And he also pointed out to me what I was doing well and shouldn't really worry about right now.
This was absolutely worth the money, and I'll come back once I get to stable D+.
(good luck with the interview)

I told myself that after WCG I'd upload all my reps for you guys and share them.
This giant batch contains WCG practice, in game sessions with G5, Artosis, Machine, InkA, Nyoken, Assem, LzGamer, Ret, Louder and more american / euro players. I also played around 750 ladder games on ICCUP in the previous season which includes around 300 replays in and around the B+ ~ A- ranks, where I typically pursued people with good records/pro gamers or known gamers. My entire ASL run is included as well as various tourneys.
Granted this is a raw product so you have lots of bad games, off race games, me obsing others etc.. but for those interested you should be able to pick out some great games with other top foreigners/koreans and some good commentary.. I usually have something to say when I obs.
So here you go! Broken up by number of reps:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=R1T3GWMW = 20-258 (starts at mid ranks last season of ICCUP)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ADSU7TH5 = 259-432
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RDBCMY9S = 433-639
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=C69QZFQB = 640-789
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=R7NLW2Z6 = 790-945

I'm not the best player.. but hopefully you guys will be entertained by this

I asked to be removed from the replay uploading section.
I won't get into the reasons why because A. you probably don't care and B. I don't wanna start unnecessary drama (people are going to assume this blog is doing just that anyways).
I still have an addiction to replays and being selfish with all my replay watching will probably cave me in so.. sorry for this lil dry spell. Perhaps I will eventually ask to be re added (if they will take me) but for now:
Don't PM me about replays, I cannot upload them. PM Zulu, Rage or someone you see uploading.
Thanks for all the support I received over the years as an uploader! I like doing things for the community and you guys were really appreciative for the most part.. thanks!

Where did this tourney come from? Who is the sponsor? Why are we doing this? How are we doing this?
Lately you guys are probably taking it for granted that yet another cash tourney has arisen. But I remember when this would have been the biggest thing to happen in a year. We live in good times my friends.
Where did this come from? This tourney came to me after an anonymous fan from the show I did contacted me on Facebook and literally said "hey I'd like to give you money because I like you a lot and want to support your gaming."
Naturally I was like "WOW" but then I realized, I didn't really need money.. especially money from someone who didn't necessarily owe me anything.
I was kinda bragging about my luck and fortune on the EG ventrillo in regard to this random fella wanting to give me money when the idea was brought up to host a tourney with this cash. That inspired me and I sought out the potential donor and asked him about this. After several discussions he seemed willing to donate around $200 and this sounded like a small sum but still anything is something! Due to the small sum I started thinking about the idea of a winner takes all tourney.. I liked that it was brutal in that it paid only one but also that it exploited the small fund and made it more lucrative as far as 1st place prizes go.
I started discussions with TL and that got the ball rolling. Kennigit and Plexa insta-jumped on and were like "SUP THAT SOUNDS AMAZING" and immediately graphics were planned, structure was discussed and the general concepts/constructs began to unfold.
As it turns out MY original sponsor dropped out. The action of donating money seemed a bit different from just offering it. Shame on him. But oh my friends.. luck be a lady tonight.. ANOTHER anonymous donor contacted Kennigit and said "sup I'd like to give $500." Kennigit has less the heart than I do and yanked that cash from the soft clutches of the angel asap.
From there it was secret IRC meetings with hot_bid, mani and sonuvbob where they balanced the conversation between derailed side-banter and constructive discussion on the functionality of this tourney. Hot_bid ended the discussion with a "I don't know if you can do this, I question your organizing skills."
HB forgets that I have the power of ESPORTS on my side. Success was inevitable (I could eat all these words btw, final tourney hasn't happened yet LOL).
Who is the Sponsor? I don't know. + Show Spoiler + Just kidding. But seriously, I really have no idea. I speak with him on MSN, I PM him on TL.net. The only clue I will give is he has posted in the Highlander threads.. hell he was even in the channel during the prelim tour. He tried to obs a few games and was banned. Yeah, thats right.. the very sponsor of this tourney was kicked by some of you foolios at the prelim stage haha. Kinda micro example of the secret Samaritan.. TREAT EVERYONE KINDLY. They could be a $500 sponsor ^_^ who then transform into a $1000 sponsor.. as this one has.
Why are we doing this? Sc2 is imminent. Beta is even..imminenteristist? Meaning: SCBW is coming to an end folks. Like it or not the love of our lives is about to become our annoying inlaw. We love it still but would rather just visit on weekends. That being said, we need to send her off in style. Highlander is fuck your face cut-throat. 1 person wins this thing.. but there is glory for everyone. With the community prizes and the coverage we will bring you this tourney SHOULD be a conglomeration of everything our community has aspired to. Great skill, amazing coverage, nice concepts and a wonderful community effort! I cannot think of a better way to say "k thx bye" to the greatest game on earth.
How are we doing this? First and foremost thank Plexa. The kid has a fucking engine inside him that could power a truck filled with whales. This guy is doing almost ALL the dirty work and without a single gripe or groan. In fact he'd do more if he wasn't told he was literally insane.
Manifesto7/Hot_bid and the other bigwigs of TL.net: Support this tourney full bore. They have offered their tourney-wisdom and have continually been there to mend and fix what I have done wrong!
The sponsor: A true fan of the game. I asked him if there was ANYTHING i could do in the way of making this more beneficial to him. Know what he said? "I have been visiting tl.net for a few years now. This is the least I can do to repay the fun I have had here." Folks, we have people of THIS calibre sitting around with us posting. Makes my life as a troll a bit regrettable heh. Maybe someday you guys will know who this man is.. but until then, be nice to _everyone_ involved in this tourney. It could be HIM.
The players: This is kinda cheesy but it really comes down to you guys.. and the fans. I watched a few people lose early in this tourney and instead of no word exiting or cursing some factor or another they said "thx, gg's and gl everyone!" We as a community have really come a long way.. and it is a LOT of fun to see.
I'm proud of you guys.
The Highlander:
I am really excited. I think the finals could be amazing. I like how it has all lined up.. the rep pack from the prelim is sick and the games to come look amazing. My only fear is that the flaky nature of the foreign scene shines through and we miss out on some amazing matches. Nudge a friend or remind a hero, tell em to get their asses to this tourney! We need the players and the observers alike
Thanks guys.

I know this is probably something a LOT of you know how to go about doing but I am internet illiterate for the most part (relative to the average person!).
Is there any helpful websites or something where you can monitor bands as they come through?
If someone is feeling especially generous I live in the Portland/Seattle area (can travel between the two).
ticketmaster etc.. seems to be pretty bad for searches of metal bands.
Here is an idea for what kind of bands I'd be interested in knowing about:
august burns red bleeding through protest the hero as I lay dying tool caliban my children my bride I killed the prom queen parkway drive all shall perish all that remains as blood runs black haste the day misery signals evergreen terrace etc
any help would be appreciated <3

I awoke feeling solid. Nothing was out of order and everything was looking up. I had enjoyed a night of drinking with my buddies at a bar. Nothing exciting but fun enough.
I did have morningwood. But that is normal and fine. I didn't have any particularly erotic dream or any reason really to have this boner but what reason do we need? It was there and I was fine with that. An ample mark of fertility and virility. I was a king of some unimportant self-contained morning jungle. Sweet. Uninspired I decided it best to get back to sleep. It was 8am or so and I was at a buddies house.. no particular need to wake up. So with a stretch to get the stiffness out I closed my eyes and went back to sleep.. thinking all would be ok.
I again awoke a couple hours later and felt fine and well. Again I noticed that my dick was at full sail and scouring the winds for a connection flight. This didn't stroke me as odd.. 2 morningwoods can happen and probably have. I usually don't mark my memory with such things but surely it has happened. In any case it was time to wake up. The house was stirring and my buddies sisters were walking around and being loud.. a typical day in their house. For them maybe.
For me I was growing astonished at what was taking place betwixt my legs.
We had downloaded the latest Dexter episode the night before so we sat and began to watch it in his living room. I noticed that my sticky situation was not going to be sticky..it was going to be hard. At this point I was beginning to commit brain time to my boner. What the fuck is keeping him around for this long. Why the fuck hasn't he given up? I went to take a piss because often times I get morningwood and it simply goes away after a nice piss.
As I am sure many of you know pissing while fully hard is fucking difficult. And let me remove all doubt and clarify now: It wasn't a soft boner that was just kinda there.. this was a rager. Something reserved for situations when only a harpoon would deal the same kind of damage. I nearly break my dick getting it to aim down and take my piss. After a long and unenjoyable piss I exit the bathroom thinking "only a matter of time." My wood had other ideas apparently.
I sat and tried to take my mind off of it. As I watched Dexter I grew increasingly uncomfortable. We had gone 3 and nearly 4 hours of solid boner with no cause. I had taken the piss and I had given it it's time but it simply wouldn't get the fuck out of my way. This situation would be fine and well at home.. I'd blast it's load and say g'bye but here? My friend's house? What the fuck am I going to do. By now it was throbbing.. it hurt. I think the sustained blood in that area was angry and was letting me know. I kept readjusting myself on the couch. I thought about ugly people and things that would normally make a flagpole flaccid. None of them appeased the angry god in my pants.
Again I interrupted my Dexter episode thinking "maybe a shit is what you want? So I set to the task of shitting while having a giant boner. Again I pry my dick below the toilet seal (this time while sitting) which was painful enough but then while I am shitting my sealevel dick pisses between the toilet and the space where the lid closes. Great. I am making a mess. Not a terrible mess mind you. But one you'd still want to avoid. The forced shit over and the mess cleaned I begin to panic. It won't leave me alone.
I suffer through the end of the Dexter episode and briskly get up telling my friend I must take a shower. I get in the bathroom take off my clothes and set the water to hot. I get in and find myself talking to my cock. "Alright you son'f'bitch, time to go." I do what every man does every day. I jerk off. I jerk with vindictive fervor. The kind of stuff reserved for priests after a wedding. It took a long time because my dick was raw with sustained blood. I didn't enjoy it and I sure as hell know why. Afterwards I towel off and stand in the bathroom looking down at my still hard dick. What-the-fuck is wrong with you. I swear if penises could smile it'd have a fucking mustache covering it's shit eating grin. Why the mustache? Cause only annoying assholes grow those. And my dick was being an annoying asshole.
I stood in the bathroom naked. Looking down at my dick. Willing flaccidity. Finally I thought I began to see it deflate. And sure enough: Like the lineup SC2gg fielded, it went down. I remember my eye threatening an appropriate tear. I had finally gotten rid of my 4.5 hour boner without a cause. Nightmares of the cialis warning "for erections that last over 4 hours please consult a doctor immediately" flooded away in a white river of showered cum.
It was hard but I managed to shake the jerk free. Don't feel bad, he had it cumming.

Awhile back I started a habit. Whenever I eat lunch, dinner or something inbetween I have to be watching something (if I am alone). I need a game (SCBW) going, a show, a movie.. something. I don't just sit at a table and eat food.
Kenny vs Spenny saved my life.
I blew through all the seasons of Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office and Dexter. I rewatch them all the time cause they are so great.
But that wouldn't hold up forever.
Youtube has _every_ Kenny vs Spenny episode broken up into (usually) 3 segments. I watch an episode a meal and usually laugh off the calories from the meal.
If you haven't watched the show I beg of you.. watch the following episodes in my recommended order.. if you do not like it after this move along. Chances are you will love it.
1. "Who can keep a dead Octopus on their head the longest." 2. "Who can win a rat race." 3. "Who can go the longest without laughing." 4. "Who can bone the most women." <- probably the greatest ending ever. 5. "Who can go the longest without a stain."
Truthfully I have _loved_ every episode I have watched but these imo.. are impossible to not find funny.
Enjoy~

On Tuesday I will be going to the store 20 minutes before it opens (not intense, but some dedication I believe) to be first in line (I reserved a copy in July but I playing this safe here folks) for FALLOUT3. I will be getting it for the Xbox360 even though I have a PS3. PS magazine manned up and admitted the 360 version is probably better. Props to PS for being fair.. but props to me for being so fortunate through BW that I own both a PS3 and a Xbox360.
On November 4th I will be grabbing Resistance 2 as well. If anyone has missed Resistance for the PS3 do yourself a favor and rent it. Surprisingly, a REALLY good game. Lots of fun and some very immersive play.
All in all I am a thoroughly excited nerd. Fallout3 is getting 100's in all pre release ratings. I cannot wait for a game that will suck my soul for a good long time. Resistance 2 will be a short explosion of fun (not a long game I am guessing) but a great addition to my library of games!
PS: I got Fable2 a few days ago and LOVE IT. Fucking GOOD game.
if anyone wants to ask me about what I know in regard to these 3 games please ask away.. I love discussing games as I am a huge nerd.
