Is anyone keeping up with this show? I've been watching the second season online (thanks to Monday Night Football and a shitty work schedule, along with a poor setup on the TV which does not allow you to watch a program and tape a different one), and it's even better than the first season. If you haven't been watching it, you need to start immediately.
This show is incredible, definitely one of the best shows I've seen on TV in the past decade. They're doing an awesome job of keeping you excited for the next episode and adding tons of twists and turns. Every time you think the conclusion is going to draw near, something else happens and makes it impossible.
I'm currently 4/5ths of the way through the seventh episode of the second season (the first was over 20 long). You can watch all of the second season through links at peekvid.com, or just find them on youtube somewhere.
I missed the vey first episode of the entire things. I love looking at Michaels tattoo's, i find that the super detective pisses me off alot tho, since michael is always stressing about him ( i have missed the last 3 episodes due to the fact that i work night shifts now ><)
Yep, I'm addicted like hell to this show. I cry from joy every Tuesday morning when I can watch a new episode again. It's very very good. The arm thing from Theodore is kind of.. off though. That cant be possible.
Just watched the newest episode today. I didn't even start watching this show until 2 weeks ago when my friend forced me to watch the first ep. Then I downloaded the rest of em and watched like 10 eps straight.
I have to say though that I enjoyed the first season more than the 2nd, though I feel happier about the second season after watching the latest ep. Fuckin Sucre, what the hell does he think he's doing?!?

Well, all but the last fifth of the newest episode is up there, so you can catch it. Or just have your dad tape it for you.

Yeah, that seems a bit odd, but perhaps it is possible. I could swear that the VP, should they take office, has to go through senators to pick his or her new VP, not govenors. I might be wrong, but I thought that was the way it worked.
I love prison break. I have watched every episode. My favorites, by far, are the 2-3 episodes on the riot, when all hell broke loose in the jail. Omfg those were like the best episodes of a show I've ever seen on TV.
1) It always ends in whatever fashion will leave me the most unsatisfied 2) As such, it forces me to watch it EVERY GODDAMN WEEK
Eventually it'll get to the point that I can break the habit, or the frustration wins out over the reward.
Sucks about the kid though. I liked him and I thought it was slick how he went and met up with that Ohio girl in order to set things straight before going back to prison. He totally redeemed himself for selling out the guys before.
well first of its LJ not AJ, but it doesnt really matter
and yes this show is amazing, ive never missed an episode and that FBI agent thats tracking them is a fucking psycho. anyway this isnt even the best show on FOX networks, 24 is by far the greatest show in america, Prison Break may be the best in the falls season but throughout the entire year 24 is the best show ever.
ive never watched Lost but i might start watching it tonight, im also really interested in the show after called The NIN9. brand new show about hostages in a bank robbery, ill prolly watch that im kinda interested
I really find it "American" and over-exagerated, it make it lame and really uninteresting to me. I'd rather watch something with intelligent content than waste my time over that.
I love Prison Break! And 24. I've never seen Lost before, but I keep hearing good things about it. So my TODO list is:
1. finish watching season 1 of 24 2. watch season 2 of 24 3. watch the first 2 seasons of Lost
One thing I love about Prison Break and 24 is that they are good at fooling the crap out of me . Not only do they set you up to believe X will happen and then Y happens instead, but they also add moments of paranoia, where it looks like something bad will happen yet nothing happens .
For me, the most memorable one was from an episode of 24 (season 3 I think) where Kim is being taken back to CTU and the van stops at a train crossing. There's also talk from the badguys about their plan to get the girl. Then this guy on a motorcycle pulls up wearing a big helment so you can't see his face. Ominously, he slowly looks over to the van, then slowly looks straight ahead again. I was so sure he was going to pull something and I was thinking "SHOOT HIM YOU FOOLS! SHOOT HIM! HE'S OBVIOUSLY UP TO SOMETHING!". Then nothing happens, Kim gets back safely, and it turns out "the girl" is someone else . I love moments like that . Prison Break has an easy way to do it in season 2: just have ordinary people make eye contact with the cons .
Anyway, personally I find both Prison Break and 24 have good levels of unrealism. There always has to be some level of unrealism, of course, or else the shows would be too boring . I think it's beneficial to give shows lots of leeway with regards to unrealism, so that you can enjoy them better. But saying they are too unrealistic is definitely not wrong, by any means: it's largely dependent on the person.

There are only a few things, in my mind, that stand out as unrealistic.
Like a man that run around the country with his freshly cutted hand in a ice box that do not die from bleeding and manage to find a veterinarian that sew him back without anesthesia, then the minute he is back up, he use his newly sewed hand to keep the doc from running away while he inject him with lethal something...
Or 2 guys on the most wanted list that "just" go up the roof of the tribunal and "just" get on top of an elevator to try and free with someone.... they fail to free the guy they came to help, but manage to get away...
Or the piece of red meat in a plastic bag placed on the driver seat to fooooool the FBI into thinking it was them that blew up with the car... wich blew only when the radio is on 98.3 fm, so there is an amazing scene where he goes to tune in while the clock is ticking...
I stop here, again, I LOVED season one.... but they should have stick to the original plan, a 10 episode mini serie !
On October 04 2006 07:24 d4d wrote: stopped watching the 2nd season after it became completely unrealistic. 1st season was great...
lol its not like season 1 was so realistic;p but still very great.
I didnt have much expectations of season 2 and i think they are doing a great job, though there is so much happening now i dont see how it will all work out in any way~~
the car expolosion thing was not very unrealistic, i mean maybe the part about the radio being the timer was but they could have used a remote just as easily. but other than that it wasnt very unrealistic, it wasnt meat that was in that bag it was blood. and as long as it resembles human blood in DNA and bloodtype (AB, A, B, O) then it will at least fool the FBI for a few hours. i mean all that was intended to do was give them time to get away for a few hours. its not like they planned on the FBI never finding out.
T-Bag walking around with his hand cut off isnt INCREDIBLY unrealistic either, people have lost entire limbs (arms legs) and survived. i mean think about in iraq nowadays, im sure people have lost body parts and lived. i mean its not like he was walking around for weeks or even days, it was like 1 day max and that was it. somewhat unrealistic but not IMPOSSIBLE. and it only takes one hand to stab someone with a piece of glass or knife or w/e he had. the anestia part, maybe that is the only unrealistic part there.
i mean in every TV show there is a level of unrealistic events like the other guy said, but TV needs those to be able to push some of their plots across. As long as it stays within reason, poeple dont care, they are watching the show cuz of the plot, not necessarily the validity that these things could happen in real life.
okay. you're talking about people who broke out of jail, and running away from a courthouse is suppose to be hard?
and to clarify, he used his other hand to keep him in check with some kind of knife or scalpel. even though the whole thing was unrealistic, make sure you've got it right.
and like repent said, the only thing unrealistic about faking his death was the radio switch. what is unrealistic about faking ones death? it's been done before. and he didnt mean it to actually work. just buy time. which is entirely reasonable.
Absolutely freaking awesome show. I've been watching every single episode of P.Break season 1 & 2. But I've got the feeling that the show is getting worse, or is this just me?
It's not like the original plot was very realistic to begin with. They'd know he was the architect of the place, and probably figure on him trying to bust his brother out of there considering his brother is on death row.
Not to mention how unrealistic it was that he got away with being burned, he was never caught in any of his travels throughout the prison. He got in and out of a mental ward of the prison within a couple weeks time, after being thrown in to solitary, and then he's put back into general population rather than solitary. Then, to top it all off, he gets a doctor at the prison to leave a door open for him so they can escape.
So, the level of unrealism is about the same in both seasons, it's just in different places, so to speak.

I think it's getting better. The last episode was definitely the best of the season.
Well, 1st season, the man had it all figured out. Ok that is not very realistic... but with proper planning, I believe everything is possible. My problem with season 2 (and I stopped watching after 3 episodes) is that there is no proper planning anymore. Except for a few things (like the cementery thing) Michael is improvising everything. So in that light, yeah, escaping from a courthouse is just unrealistic. And about the things you mentioned of season 1 SweetLemon... this is all parts that already raised my eyebrows at the time and made me think they should defenetly have sticked to the mini serie plan. They had a scenario that was meant for 10 episodes, but they had to stretch it to 24. That is where the cookie crumble. I like my shows unrealistics, but not to the point where I snap out of it.
It's just my opinion folks, it's all right for you to keep loving that show. I'll just keep on with Weeds, Lost, Heroes, Battlestar Galactica and the new 24
Chibi, burrows(SP?) father was in some deep shit with those people if you remember back to that episode after they broke out.. and now there getting back at them by framing the older brother.
not too sure on specifics but thats generally why <-- bad memory ^^
i think the only 2 things i didnt like was how they got in and out of the courthouse full of police, and also got in and out of the one building with the map of the town that had the 5million in it when they had to go through a metal detector and talked face to face with a police officer.
but oh well, i really dont care about specifics the show is great
I've started watching it one week ago. It's great show for me and very exciting. Yesterday I've seen the 15th episod of 1st season and im waiting for the more episods which are going to download. ^^
I just finished watching all 30 episodes and my eyes are so messed up. Few questions..
When Bellick gets out of the hole in the break room he yells for another C.O. to get him his shotgun, then the C.O. opens a door in the break room and pulls out a shotgun. Why'd they leave an unlocked shotgun in a room with inmates? lol
Why the the FBI detective shoot Tweener? He said something about "They want you dead." Maybe the company wants him dead? Why would they care if he is alive or dead? He is obviously worth more alive since he knows where the others are. That's also pretty hard to cover up regardless of anything.

Tweener is the guy who was trying to leak the info to the lawyer lady? It's been quite some time since I watched season 1. If so, the reason was that he was crossing them, which makes me doubt that being the guy you're speaking of.
Question 1: No idea.
Question 3: An unlikely site for escaped convicts to message each other in some sort of code to get away from the police and stay relatively untraced. Something tells me that they're going to talk about these finch meetings and meet up at these certain places or w/e. _______
It's total bullshit that baseball is knocking the show back three weeks. Fuck baseball, I hate that stupid fucking sport anyhow, and now I hate it even more.
didnt Tweener get killed because the FBI agent told him about himself killing someone? maybe he didnt want others to know. or it could be he has just lost it after already killing a guy and having to take medication everyday. i dont know

and the reason why he kills Tweener, i think it's just the arrogant detective cant bear the fact that he being tricked.... Believe me, the detective isnt a normal person, mentally or intelligently

The last episode i saw (yesterday night) was where the detective guy atches up with michael and Linc for the last time and he had just slammed into there car, blowing it up. he has a gun pointed at them and then it ends ;(. sara survived and is stitching here arm up after that asshole guy whos below that asian guy tortured her. and the prison guard and the guy with him are still alive but the prison guard is in jail for murder of him.
very big spoiler guys, if you havent seen the latest episode don't look.

yeah you were right. ish.
they broke "season 1" into 'two seasons' on air. there was a three month break mid-season. but on DVD they just made the whole in prison part 1 long season.
and he replaced a pipe. the break was after the pipe was replaced and t-bag was all "TURNING BACK IS NOT AN OPTION" knife in hand.

Blockbuster? Peekvid.com has from episode 20 of season 1, and all of season 2 so far, can't help you beyond that, but... you might be able to find some links through that site, or something. Maybe if you email them they can help you out?
Yeah, BJ, you're definitely right. Kellerman switching sides is awesome. I had a feeling that Mahone was gonna get blasted when they were running through the tunnels, but I had no idea that he was going to help them out. I'm totally psyched for season 3.
Well all of the sites link to the same server for the prison break season 1 episodes: like ouou.dv, but it only seems to play during certain times of the day and sometimes it just ends in the middle of an episode. So I'm trying to find a different site for it. I've been desperate so I've downloaded a couple episodes @ 350 mb each, but I don't mind crappy quality and I prefer to watch it streamed online.
I thought that twist was a little too easy. Or maybe because it was starting to become obvious near the end. Loved it anyway, and cant wait for the next season to begin.

Yeah, by the end it was becoming more noticeable. Still, I didn't expect the actual outcome of it.
You never know with this show though - I mean maybe Kellerman is only helping them so he can get the info that Sarah has and further his personal agenda. Meanwhile he shot Mahone because he's not an idiot and new that Mahone was instructed to shoot him. Either way, Michael and Lincoln might not necessarily be safe with Kellerman

Yeah, that's true. The show does like to throw a lot of loops in it.
I like the way they're doing it, what with the 'mini' seasons and shorter breaks in between. Imagine if we had to wait 4 months or something for the next episode =O
kellerman was always one of my favorite characters in the show. that guy gets it done. always. whatever it is. linc and mike are 10x more safe with him than anyone else in the show, whether or not kellerman's intentions are for them. as long as kellerman needs them, they are untouchable with that man. fucking ownage. it sucks so hard that sarah tossed all her shit. she's unreachable now. i feel so bad for Alex though. as hard as it was to like the guy, they made it a lot easier. he was just doing it for his family. i wish he didnt die.
Who was the old guy giving Kim instructions ? He looked like Oscar Shales lol. Nice ending, but yeah it was pretty evident that either mahone or kellerman was going to help the brothers. I like the fact that they make an early episode with the story so far in January. Not that long wait this time which is awesome!

He's all scruffy looking in the document picture. A beard makes a weak chin look stronger, so take the beard off and it might not be such a square chin. They look similar, and he shot Oscar Shales in the back of the neck, if that doesn't kill him, that causes a lot of damage to him, and maybe he loses his ability to speak, which would explain why the bald man doesn't talk at all.
These spoiler tags kick ass, by the way. It's the first time I've ever really used them, or seen them used so many times, but it's a fantastic idea.
Yeah, he might not be Shales, but I think there is a good possibility that they have something to do with one another if they aren't the same person. This show likes to throw all kinds of crazy twists at you, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for them to do that.
I'm gonna watch the end right now. I realize it's unlikely they killed off a character with so much development, but Kellerman is not the kind of person who misses.

those were my first thoughts too. Kellerman is a well trained killer, but he did shoot him in the shoulder and then left the body. Which means, atleast to me, that Kellerman did this on purpose. The "why" is the real question. Has Kellerman had a true change of heart? Did he not WANT to kill Mahone or was he not SUPPOSED to kill Mahone? Beats me right now.
Screenshot Yep, definitely the shoulder it would seem. However, a cop like him wouldn't drop like that after being shot in the shoulder. But also, what's the point in doing this? If they're both still on "the bad side" then they only need to kill those two. Or, perhaps Kellerman is using them to get to Sara? That would make the most sense in my opinion.
I think Mahone knew that Kellerman was going to shoot him. They both know that the asian guy want them both killed,so I think they are in this together.

There is part 1 of 5 of episode 13, if nothing else you can find the links through there in the related videos thing. (or by the person uploading them, they're all from her)
why would they be given the same instructions? Doesn't make sense, because then the "company" would know that only one of them would die and not both, if that is what they want

That's interesting. It'd more or less make sense because Mahone would almost 'have to' be shot in order for Kellerman to take full blame for things going wrong and protect the safety of his family. This way Kellerman is in the same position as he was prior (a dead man with nothing to lose) and Mahone stays on as the inside man. Nice. I guess we'll find out eventually

If Mahone is still alive, then earlier character development tells us that he's the one who would turn. He's so conflicted over what he has to do and is the least human of the two.
my god, just watched the two new episodes of this year and what can i say.. this series still keeps you nailed to your chair and leaves waiting for the next episode to come out. so many new questions have arised. + Show Spoiler +
what do you think kellerman will do next? crawl back to the president? and what about agent mahone, is he willing to try to take down the company or is he still just after the fugitives?
Haywire was my favorite. They'd better not kill off T-bag or I'll no longer be able to derive sick pleasure from watching the show.
Bellick is fucking hilarious: "blah blah blah 12 years in the service and 3 presidential awards of blah blah blah." What a fucking kook. Oh well, the show is always more entertaining when he's on the hunt. I can see a decent confrontation between him and Mahone coming up some time.
As for Kellerman, I can't see him getting back in bed with the President right away. He knows his working environment to well to assume everything will go back to normal. He probably knows the only way he survives is to kill both that asian dude with the annoying grin and that mute old man. I hope he does it because I can't stand either.
The best moment of the recent episode was probably how Michael just totally owned T-Bag but putting the knife through the wrist of his remaining hand, that was so hilarious.
Regarding the next season: "Series creator Paul Scheuring has commented that Season 3 will consist of most of the original cast with new additions and that the overall theme will be "redemption". A new plot will be created, since "most of the conspiracy storyline (about 90%) will be wrapped up by the end of season 2. Some of the main characters will regroup again after being separated for most of the second season and "end up back behind bars, possibly in Panama"."
I guess we will see Sarah being exonerated by Paul's statements. The last Episode is called "Sona" (some may also recall that one of the bad guys was holding a file titled Sona in a car a couple of episodes back. Sona is a city in Panama famous for its maximum security prison, ever since that aforementioned episode I have suspected some of the main characters may end up there as the cliffhanger for the end of the 2nd season and the statement in that link seems to support exactly that pretty much
i heard that in Season 1, they tunneled out of prison and at the beginning of Season 2, you find out that they tunneled into a different, more elaborate prison. that's crazy!
i wonder what they will have in store for us next in season 3
i was really liking this episode but that last episode really really pissed me off. + Show Spoiler +

yes he should have seen it(the T-Bag trap) coming. first of all he even found out that Sucre was not the one who wrote that post saying 'hi im sucre come get T-Bag!!!' well if he didnt write it then it's obvious it was Mahone who wrote it. and so it's obvious they are using him as bait. yet he totally takes it. and yes he even sees those agents who're watching T-Bag, finds out they arent FBI. he should notice they arent even asking them any questions that would come naturally, unless of course they EXPECTED Michael to come. anyway he still walks right into it like some sort of retard and not the genius he's supposed to be.
and Mahone did NOT just make demands, he claims he's on his own now and not working for The Company anymore and what we're supposed to think Michael buys it?
By the setup in the last episode, Kellerman has no choice but to turn good. After all he's been through, and especially trying to kill himself, there's no way they can make him "evil" again. Plus, fucking Sarah over would be too predictable.
Oh, and I agree with the sailing off thing. Mahone's character has always been that of the "good guy made bad" and they clearly show him using too much emotion. He won't go through with the expected plan, and he'll probably end up helping them.
Did you guys see last night's GRAND FINALE? Who do you think those 2 guys talking about Scofield were, the ones that were putting on those surgeon masks? Panama Prison looks pretty scary o.O
Almost every episode of the 2nd season was very good, but I was slightly dissappointed by the last episode. I mean, I already knew long ago, that they (or at least some of them) would end up in the Sona prison, because Sona was mentioned several times before (for example in correlation with the old guy that normally doesn't talk and writes small notes for agent Kim. there was also once a dossier named sona in the car, etc) and I knew that the last episode's name was Sona. But shooting Kim was clearly an act of self-defense, why would that cause so much trouble? Seems a bit incosistent.
@Kennigit: Yes, that's exactly the reason he only writes notes instead of talking. Don't you remember the episode (one of the more recent ones) where he meets agent Kim on a boat at a time that no satellite passes over and far away enough from the shore to make recording by long range recording devices impossible? ^^
On April 03 2007 14:55 Kennigit wrote: THAT WAS THE SEASON FINALE!!!!....was a pretty good episode, i wonder if the bald guy doesn't talk because he's afraid of wire tapping
The bald guy (Oscar Shales?) doesn't talk because of exactly that. When he and Kim went out on the boat, he spoke. He mentioned something about not being able to be overheard. As for the "hospital", the guy specifically asks "is it safe to talk here?"

They also decided to get off the boat and run away on foot. o_O
I also think that Bellick, Mahone and T-Bag will end up in Sona with Michael, because they can't have the main character be in by himself, there would be jack shit for dialog and the next season would just suck.
On April 03 2007 15:59 Carnac wrote: erm Ares, Mahone killed Shales long ago
I know that was what was said in the show, but I always felt that it was some kind of secret. I especially thought it was plausible when he wouldn't talk (damage from being shot?), but now that theory is less...likely.

i disagree, for the most part season 2 i felt was way better than season 1 where the characters really were way too limited inside their cells.. the only reason i think theyre going back to the prison setting is because theyre running low on ideas for the whole fugitive bit. I also expect that season 3 wont be like season 1 where every episode takes place in prison, comeon the guards (and probably several inmates) dont even speak english, how can they make a show out of that.. they'd have to be moved to an english-speaking prison, but that's unlikely. who knows maybe hardly any of the season will take place in Panama Penitentiary or whatever it's called.

The prison had an actual plot and plans. Season 2 was just like "OMG, they're free! Nope." "OMG, NOW they're free! Nope." "I resign my position as Vice President. Fuck."

The part when the president declared her resignation was one of the best twisting moments of the entire series to date.

Indeed, it was, but after everything else it was just like "of course she resigned, they can't be free". Just like now, he's back in a damn prison. Though, I'm happy now because the prison parts have always been the best.
I was kinda disappointed in the way lincoln got free'd of all charges. It all went soooo fast compared to the several times when they ALMOST were able to put an end to it...

It was part of what Kellerman did, and he has him, Sara and just about everyone else to thank for it. Everything that happened was the cause of his freedom. I don't think that was fast.
I just hated how Sara delivered her line "Oh my God, Bruce, Lincoln's a free man". Lame.
sarah is "dead"..no credits of her anywhere where the fuck is sucre and his wife? i was expecting more tbh, mild premiere not great belleck is funny as the prison bitch

I believe I've said this before, but this show irritates me. It irritates me to the point that I have to watch it =[.
Basically, they find a way to piss me off at the end of every episode.
I feat this may go the way of Lost, in regards to my inspirations towards tuning in. With Lost, I got this overwhelming feeling that the writers are just making it up as they go without any real, coherent plan in mind. The same thing seems to be happening with Prison Break. Sure, it's still passable entertainment but a show like this should reward the viewers better than just 'lulz they're in prison again kekek'.
Not that it's unexpected with a show originally intended to be aired for a much shorter duration.
Edit: Essentially I'll be blown away if they can tie up all of these threads into a cohesive, respectable plot. I remember when the X-Files ended after almost a decade of plot-twists, new characters, and new randomness. They actually tied it all up in a nice bow, presented it to the viewers, and we all got to sit there and go "wow, that all makes sense now, well done." I guess that's the difference between a show that ended when the creator still had many ideas to explore vs. a show that kept going after all of the original ideas were depleted.
For some reason I don't think that Sarah is being held captive. They never showed her face. Just don't know.

which is why i predict the company is going to kill her off once michael doesn't break out in 1 week
Don't dare speculate that >
Although the pregnancy will not be incorporated into the show, the story will be written in such a way to account for Sara's disappearance when the actress takes her maternity leave. Paul Scheuring comments, "It actually fits into what we were already planning." He also says that there will be "explanations for why she wasn't in the first [batch] of episodes" of the third season.
god that episode was just a gigantic disappointment, I mean I wasnt expecting something awesome but I expected them to try harder to be more interesting, it was so boring and repeating similar things from previous seasons -_-
Episode 3 is going to suck, I already thought so. They should have ended it after 2 (with a slightly different (happy?) ending). But the cash cow is being milked further...
First season rocked the major socks. They should have run it a couple more episodes and ended it there. Season 2 just was poor, I recently sat down and made myself watch it so I could watch the new series but it was like a crappy sequel, and by the sounds of thigs season 3 is gonna be even worse. Not planning on watching it.
Resurrecting this thread because I've just started rewatching season 3.
There appears to be a gayass inconsistency... In that James Whistler has a bounty on his head, that whoever kills him will be freed from SONA by a corrupt judge, as the reason Whistler is in there is because he killed the mayor's son. The mayor therefore has put a bounty on Whistler's head, offering the inmate who kills Whistler freedom.
This is why the prison mob boss guy wants Whistler dead - so he can get out of SONA. But for some dumb reason just because Schofield restores water to SONA, thus sealing the mob head's power over SONA, the mob head no longer wants Whistler dead. Now why the fuck does he want to remain in SONA when he can have Whistler dead and be released by the mayor's corrupt judge?
Yeah it's been a few years since I watched this, always watched it on release day, but the killer would get an earlier court date. Lechero knew that he was in for 4 lifetimes so there was no way he would get out, so he didn't want to bother killing a man.
And yeah, Robert Knepper's appearance in Breakout Kings was fantastic, such a great actor.
Hmm, OK... But in that case though... Wouldn't the bounty still apply to any other prisoner who wants an earlier court date? Or would they need to do it through the mob boss guy who has contact with the mayor? I'm guessing that the mayor, if he wanted revenge enough, would still want anyone to kill Whistler - not just the mob boss, so would advertise the bounty to everyone whether through the mob boss or not. Thanks for the explanations though.
I think the reason others decided not to kill Whistler was because the mob boss decided not to. Maybe they thought killing Whistler would be defiant of what the mob boss wanted and thats disrespectful.

Either:
a) they risk pissing off the 'leader' (they get chicken footed or w/e it is and killed)
b) the only person who could actually relay the message was the 'leader' (only one with a phone) so there is no point.

Season 1 Great Season 2 Average Season 3,4 Horibble Wich seems to be a major theme at most fox shows and american hits in general. Lost was same thing quit in Season 3 1 great 2 ok
OK so I'm up to episode seven. Another silly inconsistency... The first time they tried to break out and it failed, the guards saw the ladder hanging outside cell 212 and so went into the prison to do a head count. Anyway, they find out that the cell belongs to one of Lechero's mob. And they pick a random one out of the crowd and ask him if it's his. He doesn't say anything so they say: "I presume that's a yes." And then shoot him. And walk out of the prison. The thing is, it wasn't even his cell - it was the guy with the braided hair's cell. Wouldn't you think that if there was an attempted escape, and the fact that one of the guards was drugged, the guards would have made a decent effort to catch the real culprit (even though the real culprit was Michael), but you'd think the guards would at least find out exactly who's cell it was, rather than just pick a random guy to kill and be happy with it.

It's pretty simple, American producers just seem to want to milk each show until it's dead and everybody hates it. This is what happens when a series is designed to be a one season thing and and it gets turned into The Bold and The Beautiful.
I liked all the seasons quite a bit, I really liked the later seasons. I think some episodes in certain seasons were rather dull, but that is not uncommon.
I personally like that it aired for a long time and would have even liked it to go on for longer probably.
i didnt like the way season 4 started, cuz it didnt feel like the antagonist had that "invincibility aura" they had anymore but the plot twist was amazing
Huge fan of the show.... but... after they killed the doctor girl.... AND THEN BROUGHT HER BACK TO LIFE.... i was like 'wuttttt'.... and gave up all my huge expectations for it. The ending was so-so. : \

I thought it was a bit unrealistic that the head could be mistaken for someone else. Who wouldn't look at a head to confirm identity? yeah it's probably a bloody mess hard to check, but still it make no sense not to.
With regards to seemingly removing her then putting her back in, I had no issues with that— just the previously mentioned realism issue.
Fuuuck... Whoever said Sara should not have been resurrected - I am finding that everytime her dumb face shows up I have to tune my brain out just like when I'm reading Bleach. Worst character ever.
I recently found out about this awesome show. I really enjoyed the premise, I love prison-themed movies and I the pilot seemed well-made. So naturally I was excited, but today I got to TPB to get some more episodes and I see there's 4 fucking seasons of it?
So essentially I know they aren't going to break out for another 100 hours, or they are breaking out soon and then spend 3 more seasons to unveil the conspiracy.
It seems like there's three approaches to television:
1. American approach: make a great show, let it run indefinitely as long as the cashflow keeps going and watch it become more shitty with every passing episode (The Office, The Simpsons, HIMYM etc.) 2. British approach: make a great show, kill it when it becomes stale (The Office UK, Sherlock, Extras, Peep Show...) 3. German approach: make a shitty remake of a good show you stole from American or British television, don't make an effort, people will watch it because they don't speak English and have no decent alternatives
Could anyone explain in a spoiler-free fashion how they are filling 4 seasons of material in this show? I enjoyed the hell out of the first couple of episodes, but I don't want to get invested in something that turns to shit pretty soon.
I didnt think it turned shit. You will still find epic moments and get to know epic characters through out. Season 4 was probably the worst out of all 4, but it still wasnt really bad.

Ummm... that's kinda hard. In my opinion it gets worse and worse (especially after first season, there is a big drop in quality), but it turned out okay overall. I think it's still worth watching (f.e. I wouldn't recommend the same for Lost).

The first 2 seasons are great and you should really watch them. First season is the breakout, second season is the running. Then it becomes about weird and over the top conspiracy.

First season was brilliant imo and after that it was all money grabbing production like you expected. Go enjoy the first season (reminded me of Heroes's first season) if you truly liked prison-themed series/drama.
HIMYM is fine imo, it is that type of 20+mins 'light' drama so I am usually fine with it and the quality of the show has been doing fine even after all thee years compared to the last two seasons of prison break.

A huge conspiracy obviously, and it becomes more convoluted with every passing episode. Friends become enemies, enemies become allies, secret motivations are revealed, you know the drill.
Seasons 2-4 can't hold a candle to season 1, but they aren't terrible either. At least they had enough cliffhangers to keep me excited. If you find you don't enjoy the show any more after season 1, by all means just stop watching and have no regrets.
I always hoped they would of made a spin off show, where Michael and Lincoln became a secret group helping break out innocent people from prison. Breakout Kings could've been awesome, if a breakout and hunt was a season long story. Making it all start and end in one episode was the reason that show failed. I have this fascination with amazing prison break out stories now, because of this show.

Tell me about it man. I think I was in high school during the 3rd and 4th season, and I just kept thinking "why do I keep watching this horrible show?" and I think it was because a part of me missed how great the first 2 seasons were.
I stopped watching like 3 episodes before the finale... and even though I had made it that far... it definitely was not worth it to find out the ending. Especially with the horrible actor that portrayed the stereotypical techy asian. Man he was bad...
Since she met Michael, she's lost her job, her sobriety, her scumbag father... She only had a couple of days with him before he died. Getting together with him was crazy, moving on was what humans would consider the reasonable thing to do.
They better come up with a better excuse than 'they faked his death so he could go to prison instead of a Yemeni warlord'. That doesn't make any sense. As if they couldn't find someone from Yemen to go to prison in that warlord's stead who more closely resembles him and isn't basically a white celebrity from halfway across the world.
Another awesome episode. Also liked the Game Theory conversation while the scene showed Michael in the Yemeni prison, hate the new husband who needs to go back to Royal Pains.
