My fear is that teams like this won't end here, currently in my opinion, mesmers are pretty hard to kill and do tonnes of damage (with the correct spec, phantasm's anyone!?). What's to stop 5 mesmers with potentially 20+ clones holding points?
PvP overall is enjoyable, i just hope they do something to balance some of the classes a bit more, and maybe rethink some abilities.

Fuck me GW is known for its troll builds :D its only right its successor is too!

So I fixed my 100% map completion bug. I had to enter the Order of Whispers instance in Bloodtide Coast again, even tho I've been there before. Doesn't make sense.. but at least I got my star and gifts of exploration.

It's very good for A) upgrading silgils and runes (I salvage quite a bit, so I always have lots of those lying around) and B) getting a chance at a good item for souldboud/useless goldies you don't need anymore.
It can also be used for PvP skins you already have afaik, but that didn't happen to me yet, so I wouldn't know.
Also, later you can make legendaries for a lot of skillpoints and other stuff. It's expensive though. Thanks, that is some good info. Will try it!

You use PvP salvage kit bought with glory points to the skins you already have and then use the materials you get from those in the forge.

Thing is, they were all legit builds in terms of having high succes rates in their original forms. So I'd hardly call any of those troll builds. What in my mind qualifies as troll builds would be retarded shit like the almost endless shadowform griefing you could pull off for a long while.

Want to make money? Make Karma? WvW just after server restart. You have to hope you have a good matchup but. When it first starts the expertise and karma is sooo good. Now I spend most of my time in WvW so I don't just go in there just when it starts. Anytime there is a restart thats when you can make cash quick and karma.
Also run level 40 dungeon CM story and you make money fast its about 15 minutes a run I'd say.
I havent hit 80 yet though stopped leveling my Ele at 46 will get back to him later. Started a Mesmer currently at level 26 but knowing what I know now about spending money.Which you dont really have to do cause hearts will give you level appropriate gear I have more moola at 26 on my mesmer then I had on my Ele at 35.

I hit r6 almost purely off doing healingball runs in the old HA. But things aside, even the lamest shit ever, like bondskipe, worked. If it was too homo it got nerfed pretty fast, but the thing i did and always will love about GW is how many viable builds there were.
I could literally start up the build creator (actually forgot the name of the program), slap something together and then later play it with my guild. And it'd work most of the times.
I can't wait for GW2 to reach the stage where we can test out crazy strats. But first, I gotta wait until people get to a semblance of competence. Ideas, I have enough already.

If anyone in tl would like to invite me to a guild i would love it

/me autoattacks + shadow shot + black powder + headshot from 100 to a low HP percentage. I use heart seeker strike one or two times for kill.
I get prepared for people to cry heart seeker spam

Level 12 sPvP player here. I got a lot of Glory Points that I have no idea how to spend and a mystic forge that I have no idea how to use. Any feedback and/or guides would be very much appreaciated!

from what I could tell, only sPvP lv9, I haven't played in a few weeks so if something changed, sorry! There is a glory vendor in the mists. You can either buy salvage kits, so you can salvage the pvp items you get, for materials to try and craft your own with the forge. Or you can straight up buy certain tiers of certain weapons. All of the PVP has identical stats, just better/cooler looking the 'higher' ranked gear. Don't stress about it too much.

caps/time are high because nothing is fortified and at the very start the defender on the small maps is overextended like crazy.
what are thoughts on elementalist and necro? i tried warrior, but its just too simplistic for me, same with ranger. I didnt like mesmer gameplay, too cheesy, same with thief. best class i played so far is engineer, but i dont enjoy the pistol and rifle skills much. especially rifle feels clumpsy.
what i enjoy most is world vs world in a small group (zerg surfing), so basically trying to look for a class for high skilled pvp.

GS and Sword/Pistol seem to synergize well with mesmer. The 3 stacks of vulnerability with the 3 stacks of might from skill 2 on GS is sooo good. Then iBerzerker for the cripple. Magic bullet for the stun iDuelist for finish. If still need to kill blink skill 3 on sword finish with frenzy.

Talk to the guys with the glory point symbol over their heads to buy stuff. To make stuff in the Mystic Forge, you need stuff from broken down PvP items. You do it the same way you would with regular PvE items, but using a PvP salvage kit from a glory merchant. Check out the wiki page for the Mystic Forge for more info. Type /wiki Mystic Forge to see it.

staff is also very good. The warlock is strong and the clones apply conditions. not to mention the condition AE.
i find the whole concept of phantasms broken. On the first cast they are basically just as if you would have used an ability, but they stay alive and use it over and over again. And taking out a mesmer takes a long time, if its even possible at all. Also, the moa skill is a real "iwin" button.

Does anyone happen to know of a good site for thief pvp?

have already bought a full exotic set for my main and figured i could do so for my upcoming alt, too. i guess i'm probably making around 25-30 gold per hour invested into browsing the trading post, and i've come up from a couple gold one week ago to at least 300, not sure exactly. would make a bit less per hour but a lot more in total if i spent more time on it than 1-2h/day, but it's not like it's that much fun to click on icons and type numbers. things were crazy easy to work with before this week, now there's a lot of competition trying to have a go at TP baroning (and many are fucking it up for a lot more people than just themselves by doing it suboptimally). will probably retire once i reach something like 500 gold, then again, would be cool to have 1000

Well phantasms can be killed with Aoe quickly. Only one I find that last awhile is the iDuelist since its ranged but the others seem to die quickly.
I find the staff attacks to slow for my taste. I plan to go into duelist tree for the increased range on pistol attacks.
