Man thanks alot for this, and also thanks to the others who took the time to comment. I backed off on the idea currently, as im lvl 52 with my EK build, but my next toon will be this, so something to look forward too if i die, lol hope not obviously. Thanks again guys, stay safe out there.
Curious what build your currently doing right now Miragee, if you dont mind me asking. Been mostly doing spellcasters lately, since ive always been a melee guy, its been alot of fun changing it up.

I think it's actually 5%, Lightning is 4%.
You don't really need the increased ignite duration IMO, everything dies in about half a second.

I don't play the one month atm. I was in exams when it started and also wanted to reach the 600 points (I somehow managed the miracle to do both, lol). Now my friends are already in maps and I don't really have the motivation to power to map-level on my own. I think I take a bit time off until the next four month leagues (also, Chris said on the latest podcast that they are thinking about 3 month leagues and doing 6 month expansion cycles with 2x 3month leagues, but they aren't sure about this yet). Dunno what I will be playing then but it will probably be a caster because I never really played one seriously.

You are correct. Fire Trap is 5% base crit, sorry for that. : / And I agree, you don't need Ignite Duration increase. I remember that I could already one shot rares (including the burning ofc.) in my 3 man party when my dmg was still very low compared to the endgame build.

Rip'd again. This time to horrendous desync. Had just gotten to Merc, was capped resists, 3k HP. Zoned into lower submerged after killing the dweller. I didnt even whirling blades or lightning warp or anything, was just horrible luck. Almost 2 full screens out of sync. Sigh, taking a short hiatus.

Frankly ive been using lightning warp on everybox i come by, and never had a problem, unless it was some insane exile since my resists are subpar right now. I feel overall im having way more fun with strongboxes than dealing with invaders, i dont need to reset instances, and your not forced to do a strongbox you think is dangerous either, so its a matter of choice.
Managed to get lvl 52 in 1 day yesterday, so im pretty happy to be back in merc, gunna play it really safe here on out lol. Id rather not die a 3rd time!

Honestly, Ambush with strongboxes was the best mod they have invented to date. Especially Cartographer's boxes are almost mandatory if you want to play high lvl maps (are mandatory if you play solo and dont have crazy luck).
I feel like there is no way the next 4 month will be as good.

Just watched my buddy die, we were doin some merc docks, and decided to open a box. I felt very bad for him lol as you can tell by my voice/tone (im the one freaking out lol). Here's the clip, the flameblast Exile is fucking nuts. Hamston Dies.

Boxes are not more dangerous than invaders :| There are only 1 or 2 mods that are scary, and if you use smokemine you are pretty safe.
Only time I have ever had issues is if I am being stupid, and walk up to corpses on a detonate box or something. Having the right flask effects is key.
Some invaders with certain builds are complete roadblocks, if you get the wrong one in like, first room in a map, thats it, your leaving that map, you just can't do it.
Finally found my first cartographers today, +5 levels mirrored %quant, thought, oh that should be good, only end up with 6 maps oh well, at least they were 73s from a 69 map
and ya, that flameblast exile, is still massively overtuned, even a 3 stack from it can nearly 1 shot you, your friend look like he took a full 10stack
