All joking aside, I really hope Greg Oden recovers from all these knee surgeries and plays some ball. I honestly think it's time for Portland to move on. It might be good for Oden too as sometimes a change of scenery can do a lot for somebody that is struggling this much.

Not because 'knicks cant play without him' but it was just so out of the blue. Coach needs to start thinking. Well, D'Antoni has to find playing time for players, and knowing their roles in the team is important. Most of the time, coaches have a system of when to take players in and out during the game. He needs to experiment these things, especially with the new players and not having a proper off season. No one expects Lin to keep playing at a frantic pace such as 46 minutes against the Mavericks. Combined with the fact that none of their perimeter players are exceptional at defense, and you see New Jersey starting to use jumpers to score, even with Chandler not being on the floor due to foul trouble. That has more to do with the Nets not really having a Center, with Avery Johnson not willing to play Brook Lopez on back to back nights given the injury. Give Davis time, this is the first game in a while, plus having to know the offense and their tendencies.

I'm sure D'antoni wanted to see how the other guys would gel for the first time back plus they were up like 10 against the nets. If a player is hot you dont try and see how shit gels, esp when oposition is hitting every 3 shot. I guess

Their medical staff have some super effective voodoo going on to get corpses going again.

Also, imagine what would happen if D'Antoni does this Thursday against Miami. He'd get killed by the fans and media for putting in "untested" players.
