edit: Lol and all the Lakers' starters before Bryant. You would've got sick odds on all 8 other starters scoring today before Dirk and Kobe.

Knicks defense versus the Hawks wasn't that great. Hawks just plain couldn't knock down open shots.

Or, you know, the Heat are just really good. Come on, the Heat have the Knicks beat at pretty much every position minus center. That doesn't mean they'll auto-win, but talent is not something they are lacking in. The Heat have also been playing together longer while this Knicks team is basically a new team.

Also the delineation between a "superstar" and a "good player" is very blurred. What do you mean by a superstar? A guy who can score 30 points per game? What if they gave up 35 points per game to average players? Is that a superstar? Or is that just a guy who scores a lot of points, gets hailed by the media as the second coming of god, gets paid 20 million a year, and pisses off everyone else on the team? Edit: By the way if you want a talented player who doesn't hustle, please take Andray Blatche off the Wizards. Please for the love of god. The superstar part implies people really want to pay to see them play. In terms of performance, I'd say a player worth much more than a max contract, not just a player worth max salary.

Ehh, I dunno if I'd say everywhere but Center. Lin >> Chalmers Fields <<< Wade Melo << LeBron STAT > Bosh Chandler > Anthony (DISCLAIMER: All little less than/greater than symbols are based on opinion, of course) Heat are clearly the favorite, for sure, but don't sleep on the Knicks. The fact that the only person who they have who can guard LeBron in the starting lineup is Carmelo is probably going to lead to as many points as LeBron feels like scoring, but if Amar'e plays like he can/should, Melo has a big offensive night so he doesn't get embarrassed by the King and Lin keeps playing well and controls his turnovers, they have a decent chance. Especially if Wade has an off night, which could happen.

Bosh is better than Amare at both ends. Chandler is really the biggest strength the Knicks have (and arguably the MVP of that team) but their fans will never realize it. On top of that, the Knicks are on game 4 in 5 nights. I will be incredibly impressed if the game is close.

Well, perimeter D happens to be one of the few Heat weaknesses so raining 3s is somewhat likely to work. Even then... the Hawks were 11-27 from beyond and the game was still over by halftime.

Chalmers can be an excellent defender and he's shown a lot more consistency this year so far this season, plus he's been the deep threat that the Heat need. Lin is a top 15 PG, but Chalmers might be top 20 and in tough games with a surplus of offensive weapons, I'll take the much, much better defender. Bosh is better than Amare at both ends. Chandler is really the biggest strength the Knicks have (and arguably the MVP of that team) but their fans will never realize it. On top of that, the Knicks are on game 4 in 5 nights. I will be incredibly impressed if the game is close. I'd say an Amare with life in his knees who is hitting his midrange jumper is a much better offensive player than Bosh. Chandler's great defensively both as a rebounder/shotblocker/paint player and also as one on one post defender, but I feel like his time with CP3 lobbing him alley-oops made a lot of people overestimate him offensively. Chalmers is great defensively, for sure, but I'd argue that Lin playing the way he is right now is much more than just a top 15 pg, probably between 10 and 5. 4 games in 5 nights also sucks, but at least nobody played much in tonight's game. Melo and Amare should also be pretty fresh due to the time they've missed (although who knows about Amare's knees). I can't say for sure, but I think on paper the Knicks really do matchup with Miami about as well as anybody in the East.

Or are the Hawks truly as bad as people say? the hawks are terrible, they got some good wins early on, but horford being out hurts them a lot. joe johnson, even before he was injured, was inefficient, josh smith is a headcase, and their only redeeming point right now is jeff teague.
