This though... sheesh. Plus the 9 penalties for like 100 yards. D:
This is what happens when you let Tebow on your sideline. You turn into the Jets. Seriously, like I wouldn't even be mad at UF fans for wanting Muschamp to go.
As much as I love to hate UF (go Bulls lol), I feel bad for how embarrassing this was. We did not see an 11-1 team today. Their play calling was incredibly suspect on O and the first half felt like UF was hungover from partying all week.
The fact that they went for an onside after half-time wouldn't be nearly as bad if Muschamp had any control over his players. Starting ULs first drive at the twenty is a joke. Then to make it even worse when they're trying to stage a comeback the players are fucking walking back to the line of scrimmage?
The one positive was checking Facebook before the game to like 80 "go gators" posts and seeing a bartender I know at UF say "the drinks are strong tonight." Gave me a good chuckle.

I liked watching UF players trash talking/taunting after a play while down 20 in the second half.

SEC being exposed in the sense that they aren't significantly better than everyone else. Yes they are the best conference in football. However, the way ESPN talks about it, you'd think it was like NFL vs. High School when the SEC plays OOC. Obviously not.
FL and LSU get shown up by very maligned opponents. Miss St. gets blown out by a B1G team. SC won, but it required a last second touchdown to beat a very average Michigan team from a terrible conference and Georgia, the team that took Alabama to the wire, was shown to not be significantly better than Nebraska, another B1G team, which gave up 70 points to the inept Wisc. Badgers!
If Texas A&M or Alabama lose, then it solidifies this fact (that SEC is overrated, tho still the best), imo. If they both lose, then just lol.
Ole Miss is whatever. Pitt is a very hot and cold team.

Let's go Oregon! Make the Pac proud
....lol. thats a quick way to get momentum

Good game so far. K- State was gaining momentum until the last min of the 2nd quarter. Have a feeling Mariota is going to catch fire in the 2nd half.

huh I've never seen a 1 point safety before.

Ya, you know its odd when the ref opens up with: "we have an unusual call on the field..."

If Oregon ends up still beating Kstate by a lot (not letting them come back), and Alabama barely squeaks by ND, then an argument can be made that Oregon can/should win the AP national championship. Both teams would only have 1 loss and Oregons loss would be to a higher ranked team.
The big thing will be how Texas A&M does against OK. If they lose to OK, then Oregon certainly deserves serious consideration considering their single loss would be much better than Alabamas...

Pac-12 fans can argue all they want, but you know it's not going to happen...

This score is closer than the game actually was. Ducks dropping TD balls left and right. :/

So what do you guys think about Oregon's defense now?

Yeah it's not going to happen.
And Jibba's right that there were several TD passes there were straight up dropped by Oregon. Should have been at least 45 points by Oregon by the end.

If 'Bama finds a way to lose, then this will be one of the more alarming bowl seasons in recent SEC history.
It's really disheartening as a fan in the far west, choosing between an SEC team or Notre Dame. Of course I want the SEC to lose, but I'm tired of hearing about Notre Dame ever 12 seconds. Good or bad, they are always talked about. No need mentioning SEC coverage. Both have a rich history and titles, so I root against those types of schools (save some for the rest of us, yeesh ). I don't like Nick Saban or Kelly, they are both weasel coaches (Miami Dolphins and Cincy agree). Geographically, the midwest vs the deep south... I'll take my chances here instead. Expect both teams to be powers next season at the very least, so a loss for either team certainly won't affect enough, so no element there. *sigh*
I want a good game, that's all I want. I want a 13-10 slugfest.

The SEC are bad guys who are proud of it. Notre Dame are bad guys who pretend to be good guys (and then sweep their players' rape cases under the rug.)

You know, I'm going to root against OU, our nemesis. I haven't taken A&M seriously in 25 years and I'm not going to start now.
|
I don't want to think of the media coverage aftermath of either of those two winning.
