So when is this game going alpha? And right now I am thinking about getting the Constellation with a Hornet add-on. And what did I miss with the Aurora (XL?)

What kind of behind the scenes stuff are we talking here? I think it would be really cool to have access to substantial amounts of early creative (maybe a few videos of meetings and brainstorms), but if it's just a few models and concept art, it would be nice, but not enough to justify the expense in my opinion

And what did I miss with the Aurora (XL?) they are aiming to have the hangar module (in-engine hangar with all of your pledge ships inside) in time for pax, with the dogfighting alpha late this year. the aurora lx just had a slightly fancier loadout spec (better engines and shields, came with missiles). it's nothing you can't get in the game. Given all we've seen released, it appears that this game is a spaceship hanger simulator. Sounds real cool guys.

note that these are early gameplay videos, and will be different in the final game. there's placeholder effects (laser beams, explosions) as well as things still left to finish (heads-up display). also, you'll be flying these ships in the first-person perspective, from within the cockpit.
