And people saying Norway or sweden, you got to understand how extremely crap these countries are. Norway a little worse then Sweden, but its basically the same shit. Norway has so many laws, and you cant do shit here. Police in Norway is a joke, nobody in their right mind have respect for them, and its cause they have to uphold stupid laws like 4000dollar fine if you are caught with a whore. Simple stupid shit like that. You think Norway has awesome nature and rivers ? Lolol, we rape our rivers, and our Fjord is raped by cruiseships dumping their waste in it. And since we have raped all the rivers, the Fjord cant clean it self, it just stays there. The crabs in our Fjord, have green legs lol, like a freaking baneling cause of all the toxic waste is being pumped in it from ships. Norwegians are the most cold hearted solitary humans I have ever witnessed, we can only competently be social when we are extremely drunk. At busses, we sit as far away from people as possible. Also we dont care about our parents, family life in Norway is actually looked down upon, its the age of single mother and single people now.. To bad you cant and wont get a loan to buy a place if you are single. Our social system is a nightmare, its like they picked retards for the job, who has no clue. Oh, our social system and healtcare (which is in the newspaper often for its incompetence) only costs about 50%+ effective tax.
Welcome to Norway.. Cant wait till Im economically fit to get out of this shithole.
Let me guess, your either incredibly narrowminded and ill-informed on how things actually are in Norway. Do you think its a coincidence that every year Norway is on top of the list of "best countries to live in" I have read a few of your posts in this thread, and they just keep getting dumber and dumber. How you can with a straight face claim that our social system is a nightmare, unless your on disability because you dont care enough to actually work. Do you think that giving loans that you dont have the security/ability to pay is good? Really? I cant wait till your economically fit to get your ass somewhere else. Too bad im probably paying that with my tax money.
10 bucks says your registered on dagbladet.no and is a frequent poster there.
You live in the best country in the world, and you still whine like a 5 year old girl who didnt get candy.

Hokkaido Region - Sapporo, Japan... Something about its location appeals to me and I dont mind assimilating into Japanese culture.
edit: Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton, Canada is fine with me too. I reside in NYC, there really isnt anything special here to me anymore. =_=

Outside of the U.S., only cities I'd like to live in would be Paris or Shanghai. (excluding S. Korea).

Hmm, this is a hard one, as I don't have any wants to leave New York City, and I'm no fan of the relatively xenophobic Japan, Korea's out of the question, China sounds somewhat interesting... I'd have to say Australia, I'd like to see what makes every fucking Aussie tourist so damn cheery.

Nepal.
I'd like live on a mountain village and shitz like eat pears.

No, you're not allowed to be racist just because you live in a ghetto.

I wanna live in New Zealand or Japan or the Philippines. Somewhere in the Eastern Hemisphere so I can watch proleague/osl/msl/gsl at normal hours. Also, I think it would be a nice change from living here in America.

I live in Japan - if you haven't been then it's not what you expect For a start, where are the Gundams I was promised? There's only one in the whole country.... Not cool Japan.
Great country to come to, difficult to live in I will admit (not least because as the US embassy says Japanese is one of, if not the hardest language to learn...). Recommend at least a visit to everyone here.
I'm British, so I can tell the person on the first page it's not that hard to make a decent Yorkshire Pudding (they're awesome btw) but a real ploughman's lunch is an experience. Love my country with it's rain and pubs.
As it is I would love to try Switzerland - looks beautiful, European (been there a few times now, Europe rules) and probably the most democratic country in the world (sorry America), but I'll be immigrating to the US soon to marry a beautiful woman. Yay for freedom, apparently.

Japan/South Korea. Japan for the anime and South Korea for e-sports.

I would like to move about for most of my young life. When I settle somewhere I'd like to settle somewhere in Germanic Europe, depending on how well I find myself being able to adapt to a foreign-language speaking country. When I visited Germany, it just seemed to be such a fascinating and beautiful country (and I think I saw a total of around 3 people that I would consider bad-looking for the entire time I was there). Barring that, I really like California for the lovely weather and landscape.
I might like to live in Japan or Korea, but I would probably end up feeling really isolated and foreign due to my race and the low likelihood that I would ever be able to master the language.

I wouldn't mind moving to Québec for a while, though that's not a legitimate country, so much as it is a province within Canada. I want to go live with my frenchy-brothers for a bit and teach them that they have frenchy-brothers outside of their province!
In an effort for a more legitimate country: Finland. My great-grand-mother was finnish, which makes me 1/8th fin. I know a few words, a few cultural tidbits, a song or two, and have even come to appreciate some of their cuisine. Still, I'd really like to go live in Finland for a bit, just to meet some new people, learn some new things, see the nordic countryside. I know it probably resembles my local country side (I live in northern Ontario, Canada), but the pictures I've seen are just breathtaking. Kiitos

Netherlands I suppose. Nice and peaceful there, and not such extreme weather as Canada
|
I would have to choose either Australia, any Scandinavian country pretty much, or here (Canada). But Nanaimo, B.C to be more specific. My dad's family is from there and it's an awesome little city.

Im surprised you choose Quebec. I live in Edmonton, and most people here in western Canada despise the French Canadian. Alberta especially, because of the massive debt Quebec owes us. They don't even want to be apart of Canada and if they weren't in such debt with the west they probably would be separate.

Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland.
It's hard to top Canada though

i wanna visit sweden. I've always wanted to since i became addicted to cs. sweden has the best cs players xD

Living in Boston isnt so bad, but occasionally I am reminded that my country is run by a secret republican, half the states are theocracies and I have had to take on 60 grand in student loans just to do 4 years of undergrad and 1 year of graduate school because my government literally does not value my education, health or well being.
If you actually believe this, I'd genuinely like to know what school you went to.
As a Bostonian who went to school in another region of the US and has travelled in some of the world's actual "theocracies," I wish you wouldn't make us look like ill-informed, delusional, freshman ethnic studies students.
TIA~~
