This points to flaws in the Italian Justice system and casts the whole country in a bad light what a silly comment, i saw how the foreign tgs were twiching the news but amanda had maaany flaws in her defense and they needed to be clarified, the real flaw is how long trials last but i dont think that means all the nation in put in a bad light because of that, comments like this however...
It certainly doesn't look good when your police force handles DNA evidence with their bare hands and your laboratory doesn't immediately dismiss the evidence as contaminated. It also doesn't look good when your prosecution proceeds with the trial with none of Knox's DNA at the murder scene and changes the motive four times over the course of the investigation/trial, and STILL gets a conviction. It's got an eery similarity to the Duke Lacrosse case, luckily in our justice system the flaws were highlighted before the case went to trial.

Lol, Daily Mail thinks differently:
Amanda Knox looked stunned this evening after she dramatically lost her prison appeal against her murder conviction.
As Knox realized the enormity of what judge Hellman was saying she sank into her chair sobbing uncontrollably while her family and friends hugged each other in tears.
A few feet away Meredith's mother Arline, her sister Stephanie and brother Lyle, who had flown in especially for the verdict remained expressionless, staring straight ahead, glancing over just once at the distraught Knox family.
Prosecutors were delighted with the verdict and said that 'justice has been done' although they said on a 'human factor it was sad two young people would be spending years in jail'.
Following the verdict Knox and Sollecito were taken out of court escorted by prison guards and into a waiting van which took her back to her cell at Capanne jail near Perugia and him to Terni jail, 60 miles away.
Both will be put on a suicide watch for the next few days as psychological assessments are made on each of them but this is usual practice for long term prisoners.

hahaha, what an absolute fail.
On the other hand, who did kill her room mate if she didnt? There has still been a murder commited here and there is still a murderer on the loose.

Can someone explain why this thing was such a big deal? Murder cases happen all the time but this and that Casey Anthony thing were treated like the most important thing in the world. I just can't find a way to really care about this at all, why should these specific murder cases be so much more important than the thousands of others going on.

Well Casey Anthony was accused of killing her own toddler, which is definitely not your run of the mill murder case. I believe this particular case has gained so much exposure because it has an American citizen being accused of the murder of an English citizen having taken place in Italy. Kind of an odd predicament.

It has been made a big deal because Amanda Knox is good looking and american, which makes it interesting. Though I don't really find it to be that important. Mis-trials happen frequently everywhere.

The validity of your opinion has nothing to do with his point that this is the wrong place for it.

However they are both related in that people want to call people guilty when they have not been proven to be by a court of their peers. In either case. I thought it was relevant, most people obviously don't.

Leaving an opinion you disagree with be would certainly be horrendously distracting.
