Horrible, coaching change every year or two, most northern city NHL, one if if not smallest city. Not many positives about the oil

Under the microscope 24/7, instantly recognized everywhere. Playing in Florida, thats the ticket. Literally no one knows who you are, the weather is good, 0 expectations of success so when you do succeed its a pleasant surprise for everyone, a bunch of other sports ahead of you in fandom.

The other big factor is players will go anywhere that is winning, in any sport winning is a lot more fun then losing, right now thats not making Canada very attractive On March 04 2015 10:50 Orcasgt24 wrote: Show nested quote + I don't blame the guy for leaving lol I would too. Also lots of the players are Canadian and want to play for the team they dreamed to play for growing up. But it really is amazing how much even just league average goaltending helps otherwise ok teams like Winnipeg. Pavelec is one of the worst starting goalies I can remember in a long time. Just gettign someone who can put up .915 or so on any given night sudden puts them in contention for a low seed Uh, what? The West is 188-143-35 against the East this year. All indications point to the West still being stronger than the East. Getting average goal tending to boost the team's overall play just shows the quality of the team in the first place; when a team (like the Wild) can go from their December to now pretty much dominating on all fronts by only changing their goalie, you can see the true quality of the skaters in front of them. If Winnipeg can hold onto this run of form, they're going to be unpleasant to play in the playoffs. They're pretty quick and really physical, and I think they'd have at least a respectable chance against any team they draw against.

Weather don't help. But I think weather and location do take a backseat if the franchise is good, otherwise Detroit would have never had any kind of success Tru dat. Players will over look A LOT about a place if the team has a history of, and is committed to, winning. As it stands, there are approximately zero reasons to ever want to play in Edmonton. I suppose there are a lot of puck bunnies, but they're more of the skeezy Whitemud hooker variety.

We got some pretty hot women that would be super easy to get as a millionaire hockey player. But you can do that in the other 29 cities as well. Plus Whitemud has no hookers(being a highway and all haha), they are on 118th ave or Stony Plain Road and skeezy is being complimentary....very complimentary The one single redeeming quality Edmonton has is we will have the newest prettiest arena.
