In other coaching news Sports Illustrated is also reporting that the Toledo coach Matt Campbell is going to Iowa State but I'll probably wait until it's official. I mean earlier this week it was being reported that Les Miles was fired and not fired at least 3 times and that Tom Herman had signed an agreement to be South Carolina's head coach before coming out and saying he had never even contacted them about the decision

FSU SMOKED FLA. Now that, that I did not see happening. Either way, Florida has to play Bama next weekend and it won't be pretty. Iowa vs Mich. St. will be a good game I guess. I don't know how it will all shake out with the rankings this week, but there will be some teams in the top 4 that shouldn't be. OU is the Big 12 champs and probably will get the last spot, because Power 5.

He had 3 pretty poor weeks coming into the FSU game and FSU's defense is actually probably a little underrated. FSU isn't a world beater team this year but the most points they've given up this year is 24. Florida put up 9 on Vandy, 24 on a below average South Carolina D, and 20 after OT against 2 win FAU. I didn't expect the game to be this lopsided but I thought it was pretty funny that Florida actually opened as the favorite in this game for a few days before the line swung in FSU's favor. LSU AD also confirms that Les Miles is staying on as coach. Good choice imo. I don't think they could have gotten someone better.

In the BCS, some teams had a good shot of going bowling or winning the CCG because of a shitty computer algorithm or voter bias. Now that they have to actually produce and impress a select few people, they want immediate results. I'm guessing in 5 years if Saban doesn't win another title, he'll be gone. Same with Meyer and Ferentz. I would replace title with playoff spot but yeah the money between the playoffs and regular bowl games is going to be a heavy pressure on these teams to preform.

With a less effective o-line I'd take a healthy Booker over McCaffrey any day. Also Mark Richt is apparently done at Georgia.

Fuente confirmed to VT. Bud Foster to stay on as his DC as well. that could be a scary combo UGA AD confirms the firing aka "mutual departure" of Mark Richt. Sources reporting UGA interest in Tom Herman, Dan Mullen, and Kirby Smart Purdue fires basically all their assistants but keeps Hazell DJ Durkin (Michigan OC) being reported as the imminent hiring as Maryland's next HC Matt Campbell confirmed to be Iowa State's next head coach leaving the Toledo job vacant Memphis said to be interested in hiring Missouri's DC Kentucky QB Patrick Towles posts on Instagram that he will transfer for his final year of eligibility. Does not name a school in the post. Auburn QB Jeremy Johnson is reported to be interested in transferring according to Auburn beat writers
