Problem is the game auto connects to the patch server (since you're playing online) and auto patches.
No way to play multiplayer without patching.

Korea traditionally gets patches last so we could see it tomorrow for SEA and US

They have no choice. The entire thing is played online, thus they use whatever version b-net is at. The only thing they can do is ask Blizzard to delay the patch.

I don't understand what's up with Blizzard, why do they have to patch before 2 finals?

TSL3 final is also online?
if so,then it will be played before patch,I think so. And in GSL my heart is for Nestea, 1.3.3 is a good buff for him.

well. they do balance changes. and whenever they decide to go through with the changes they pretty much think the change will make the game more balanced.
In that sense, why not patching it in before the finals? In their mind every change they stick with throughout the PTR is a step in the right direction. why would they wait?
theoreticly it makes no sense to delay something that is theoreticly GOOD for the game. Now I dont care what people think about the changes, but blizzard obviously thinks they'Re necessary, and If I were them, I would do the same.

I think anyone expecting the Archon change to help Inca is deluding themselves--Inca's not incapable of playing macro games, but he's inclined to end the game early if possible, especially if he doesn't think he can beat his opponent in a long game (and I doubt he thinks he can take Nestea in a Bo7 of macro games). As such, the warp gate nerf is gonna fuck with the timings of every early game all-in and timing push, and its highly unlikely he'll be able to properly adjust in just a day, which means Nestea will in all likelihood be much safer against aggression.
That said.
The GSL runs all the frikkin time, and there are so many other tournaments these days, that pretty much any patch is gonna throw a wrench in the works. It sucks but I'm not sure its avoidable--remember when that one patch made Ultras super broken for like 2 days?

wow terrible patch timing

While i totally agree with what you say, the TSL and GSL are 2 of the biggest tourneys out there right now. There is downtime between the GSLs, and there is defo downtime between TSL/MLG etc, so why not delay it a week?

Awesome, it's finally safe to ladder again!

Well, Naniwa loves him some 4 gates so the patch will screw up a lot of his strategies as well. Don't think the patch neccesarily will effect one player more than the other. Thorzain loves him some ghosts occasionally which could benefit him for instance.
That said, I realize you might have just played off his nickname but I just wanted to get that out there anyway.

The TSL finals are played live in New York City, so the patch will land before that.
edit: Unless that post earlier is true and they aren't doing a worldwide roll-out during the same week, which seems odd. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Final is played live. Also how will Nestea get a buff?

About: 1.3.3 patch update, Global Battle.net account unification (Just putting all account data together NOT CROSS REALM)
havent seen that before. isnt that pretty much the only step required to actually make a gateway selection/cross realm finally possible?

What does account unification even mean?
