That is something I strongly hope for, but not likely

It's really really weird that they would update it just before the Finals of Blizzard's flagship tournament.
And the broadcast change also means I won't be able to watch MMA, MKP, Huk group live.
Seriously... wtf Blizzard?
EDIT: And the changes in the patch are HUGE changes to the way Protoss is played which could really just screw things up for both Inca and Nestea.

It will probably effect a lot of timings based on rushes and one base play :/ too bad the PTR is only on the NA server.
|
It doesn't just harm Inca, it could potentially harm Nestea as he has to prepare for new builds and timings.

Hmm... i haven't really played PTR and 1.3.3. Hopefully we'll still see some entertaining games in the finals. It has always been pretty lackluster in the code s finals. We might see some crazy strats from Inca cus of this patch.

Instead of having account information for EU on a server in EU, it will now also/only be on the NA (or where they choose to put it) server. So instead of 6-7+ different account databases they will have one collected database.

There's never a really perfect time to patch the game. This week would be good for me and many players because we want to test the new stuff. But for the big tournament finals I think this patch makes the matches more fragile due to the balance changes. So it doesn't mean we would have shitty quality finals. I think we might see some surprises and that can either be good or in some cases bad. We'll see. It's not like this patch will destroy anything. Don't understand the hysteria.

joke that they actually decided to piss on thors like that

Indeed, but I think they should make an exception for such a big change.

Ok, thanks.

I'm not sure whether the short time of 1.3.3 on the PTR Server is really enough! óÒ

Except you're wrong.

The TSL FAQ says that they are played live in New York City.

Yeah, this patch REALLY helps Nestea. He's really going to be abusing that 6 second root time on his Spore Crawlers. Totally imba, amirite?

Yes:
What is the format for this tournament?
The TSL3 will be a 32-man single elimination bracket. The round of 32 will be played in a best-of-3 format. The round of 16 and round of 8 will be played in a best-of-5 format. Semi-finals and the grand finals will be played in a best-of-7 format. Each player will thumbs down one map in each round before the Semi-finals, with maps being picked and ordered randomly following the thumbs down procedure. The Grand Finals will be played live at Teamliquid headquarters in New York City.
