Esports isn't anywhere close to MMA, I wish we'd drop the comparisons by now. $20 for 3 days isn't A LOT by any means, but wasn't it previously $30 for an MLG Pro Circuit GOLD 1 year pass? I just don't think MLG or sc2 content is at the level where $20 is a deal. Especially with all the downtime (that's always promised to be fixed) and other quirks that always seem to happen at every event. They say 20 hours of content but really only 3-4 is highly valuable, meaning high quality play or content. MLG is by far my favorite tournament (yes even moreso then GSL) but it feels like half the event is watching crowd shots waiting for the next game (this is coming from a gold member, with quad stream). $30 for a year becomes $20 for an event? Nope. You are quite correct, I read more into the thread did quick research and found out that Companies like ESL are offering way better deals, as such I retract all dumb statements I've made, sorry to all for my ignorance

Ironically, this is probably going to motivate me towards being more likely to buy a GSL subscription FYI, I consider myself super cheap as well, and I FINALLY got a GSL season 1 pass (of course the cheapest one $15...I would recommend it I don't know if it's because of my ad-block but the only "ads" I get are a few logos that appear briefly at the beginning then vanish) and it was the best decision I've made in a while. There have been some unbelievable games this season, so maybe I just lucked out. There is just no comparison to the entire GSL season 1 for $15 vs. $20 for a weekend of MLG. Anyway try it out! I was pleasantly surprised.

It's such a good deal - just how poor are you? you've all been spoiled by free, unsustainable, low standard content, says I I do not like posts like this, "lol you're poor it's easy to pay $20". Sure, it's not much, but for the same amount of money you can get yourself a seasons worth of the massively better GSL. Maybe people might buy 3 days of MLG alongside it, or maybe they double down and get the GSTL too which again is probably going to be all round better. Then perhaps they decide that a subscription to the KSL and FXO streams allows them to support other people putting on great productions for a low cost if they want to chuck around a bit more money. There's plenty of competition, if the majority of people feel they can spend their money better elsewhere (especially within the same kind of areas) then they're going to spend it there. --- On the general PPV note, I'm pretty sure the whole PPV model didn't really take off nearly as much outside the states? I wonder how many viewers from Europe are really accustomed to the idea of dropping cash on a standalone event.

Do these guys realize that a ticket for GSL, the premium and best SC2 tournament since the end of 2010, an almost TWO MONTH tournament, costs 15$? Please take a moment and read that sentence again. GSL, 2 months - 15$. MLG Winter Arena (not even the main MLG event), 3 days - 20$. Do MLG even realize that there are other tournaments people can choose from? You're not the only ones!!! People that cannot afford to purchase tickets for all the tournaments will have to make a choice, and you can bet your ass MLG will not be the top choice with 20$ for 3 days. Also, good job trying to promote SC2 to new players/fans by not providing a free stream for the event, even in low quality. TLDR: Disappointment
