MLG isnt Norway tournament Dreamhack is sweden tournament paying out in SEK so its kinda logical.

I'm hoping for a rematch of Polt vs pizzagirl.

1) Exchange rates. 100 000 SEK wont be worth the same when the tournament takes place. 2) Dreamhack is a swedish tournament that takes place in Sweden, ofcourse they will use their currency. 3) Because Swedish crowns is totally the pimpest currency in the world (not biased)

So most of the players are playing only for points which is rather unfortunate. I dont like it and i also think this hinders the player pool a lot. On the contrary the mangement of dreamhack is doing a great job and i have always enjoyed their events, so keep up the good work guys.

Last year those extra DH events paid only the winner.

Grand Final is played BO5 in DreamArena Extreme in front of the huge on-site audience and millions of viewers around the globe.
Really.. Millions? Kind of a big leap from the ~60K they had last event
Always enjoy DH thogh, on-site or stream!

DreamHack is always so epic! I do wish that top 8 would at least get paid instead of just points though...

Yes i think that was his point

DreamHack always does the best job hosting tournaments (at least from a spectators point of view).
Will be good!
GG GL HF LETS GO :D
----- Also, regarding showing the prize in SEK... Obviously since they give you SEK it should say SEK. If the dollar or euro becomes absolutely worthless tomorrow, 100 000 SEK is still 100 1000 SEK.
I guess we could ask DH to show the equivalent prize in bananas, or goldfishes, or chinese Yuan (since that involves the most pepole) but in my mind that makes no sense either !

In sweden we award winners, not losers!
(In all seriousness though, In sweden anyone who stands out or wins is frowned upon for being better than anybody else.. Thank god DH is sane)

I still don't see an headline on the most epic tournament of the year : ironsquid...
But dreamhack will be great, I can't wait.

I'm glad that Jantelagen is not active in swedish eSports. :p
Looking forward to this tournament!
