They just want investors to fork over money and then they will spend it as quickly as they can. Even if by some miracle it is not a scam (it is) they will artificially keep the price of energy high so that they can rake in the money. Like how we recently gained the ability to make cheap artificial diamonds, but no one is selling them cheaply because they just protect their process and keep the price high and they get tons of money. They can make "perfect" versions of most gemstones. It's far less difficult than people think. But diamonds are a nearly worthless commodity. The value is artificially held high because diamonds don't reenter the market often & most of the supply is held and only a small amount is let out.

I don't think this is likely to ever happen (even in the unlikely event it's not a hoax), I would assume they are looking to patent this, not to publish it. Meaning that the experimental details required to reproduce it won't be made public. We will know whether it works or not when the outcome of all these "investments" have become clear. I sure it's fake but it's a bit strange how long it's been going on, if I remember correctly I read about this for the first time more than 6 months ago.

There is a lot of technology that the public does not know about What do you think they do at Area 51 or in the Swiss Laboratories that are talked about in Angels and Demons by Dan Brown etc etc etc (These are just two examples I can think of that might be plausible, the truth is there are places we don't readily know about that are working on technologies that already "have" changed the world, just not to the public eye) If it's true, then surely this will be groundbreaking. Finally something to keep the fucking oil and gas companies out of my homeland and beautiful farmlands/forests and break my own dependency on oil.

Regarding the supposed efficency of the reactor - it's still cheaper and less polluting than coal, and nickel is abundant, which is the "big deal" in this case. It might not replace current means of creating energy, but it'll be a huge suppliment to it.

"They" are doing something supersecret at Swiss Labs, because it says so in Dan Brown's book? And let me guess, you know about the activity at Area51 because you've seen it on X-Files? I hope you're trolling.

Lol Dan Brown's novels have so much technobabble; he uses the same plot formula for all his books while switching up the antagonistic deep dark conspiracy .

Most of it, especially a whole lot of the important stuff, is not peer-reviewed. It's patented. As they're industrial processes, normally, where most of the work is done. That type of stuff isn't terribly peer-reviewable. It might be based off some ideas from journals, but huge amounts of that work is just simply proprietary information and very valuable. Really, it's a matter of waiting until October to see if anything happens. In the mean time, hope really hard that the team working on the Polywell comes up big soon. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polywell Which actually is the closest to a functional Fusion reactor that's currently out there, for generating electricity.

Hopefully it won't be patented and there will be a lot of competition, especially to the old and corrupt electricity manufacturers. Please tell me you're not in the USA and have no clue that Electricity production is one of the most heavily regulated industries. Mostly the same in the rest of the world as well.

The second one is to make a device that is commercially viable, make a ton of money and shut up any criticism that way. Trying to prove that this couldn't possibly work is a waste of effort. I just don't think their work deserves any outside attention before it's distinguishable from all the cheap energy hoaxes out there.
