If you've been a Blizz fan since the first Warcraft/Diablo, then you probably heard over the years that the Blizzard who made D2 and BW is not the same Blizzard we are seeing today. I follow the Diablo scene, and some fans of that series also share the same view. I thought I'd address this part.
It is not the same Blizzard actually. Blizzard North got disbanded many years ago and, from what I can remember at least, most of the people that worked there left the company all together and joined other indie companies/created their own (Runic Games, creators of Torchlight is one of them).
As for the whole topic about them playing SC2 or not... I doubt it, in all honesty. Not officially at least. JD might be interested due to not having a team and so on but I think the players dislike the imbalance of it. Granted that I do think Blizzard will try to do something since it is weird that they invite them to Blizzcon without any BW event but it might just be to showcase some matches overall.

maybe they are there to entartain crowds with bw when battlenet goes down (something like huk vs boxer on ipl3)

If SC1 designers are doing the units voices in SC2, maybe people who made SC1 units voices are designers for SC2. That could explain a looooot of things !

Due to imbalance? You got to be kidding me. Its about money. Jaedong will find a new team no problem and if they pay well, he has no reason at all to play SC2. Switching from BW to SC2 in Korea for a player like Jaedong makes no sense at all. If he would join a foreign team maybe, but korean SC2 teams dont have the money to pay players like him. And BW was not balanced for month and noone stopped playing it, because of that. They tried to find ways and if they could not, they just took their paycheck and complained in interviews.
Maybe they will play some SC2 matches for fun, or maybe they will show off their bw skills. Who know, one thing is clear though, inviting those players seems to be an attempt to please the korean audience, no matter what they do at blizzcon. Even if they were just invited to be there and have fun, it would mean blizzard recognizes their improtance for their brand and their market in skorea.
In my oponion, no matter why they are there, its a positive thing.

Correction RED ALERT 3 not red alert 2 Uhhhhh, Browder worked on Red Alert 2, C&C Generals (and Zero Hour), and Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth before jumping ship from EA to Blizzard to work on SC2. He had no hand in developing RA3, though ironically a lot of design elements from the SC2 alpha were copied by RA3 in a desperate attempt by EA to capitalize on the RTS market before the SC2 got released.

Im not sure if im jsut understanding this wrong, but it feels like you're implying the crowds money and tournaments could lure them away from broodwar.
You are aware that Broodwar still has bigger tournaments more money and larger crowds right?

Then again, I hope you aren't going to deny that SC2 IS somewhat imbalanced right now. Not to the point of where you can't watch or play it but where it feels like "downgrading" when going from BW to it. No, BW was quite imbalanced as well, that is true. The thing is that these guys have already settled themselves down with BW. Going from a game that many people say is close to the most perfectly balanced strategy game ever, to a game where they are still balancing it makes it unattractive.
Do you understand yourself what you just said? "inviting those players seems to be an attempt to please the korean audience". Why, would be the big question. A lot of people that play SC2 have only heard of JD and Bisu and don't really know how big they are in the BW industry. Yet here we have Blizzard, inviting them to Blizzcon with no actual BW event. Something is quite fishy with that.
We'll have to wait and see.

imbalanced? how? mlg: 1 terran in top 4, pvp finals. IEM NY: Zerg winner, IPL3 winner: european zerg, IEM china winner: zerg. GSL tvtvtvt, but since gsl is running more longterm, the ups and downs in the metagame are somewhat "frozen in time" for a while. not to mention that every code s player basically only practices tvt atm which will obviously benefit ps and zs. so i don't get the whole imbalance talk at all tbh.

For you people complaining about the SC2 team not being the SC team, I just listened to a podcast where Mark Kern was a guest (Associate Producter on SC) and he couldn't even remember what the Dragoon was called, so don't think they would be your saviours.
