Definitely praying for some SC:BW show matches though. Does anyone know if the Blizzcon PPV gives you VoDs? I'll be away from the computer all weekend and don't want to miss anything.

I mean seriously, it would be like making them play CS 1.6 against the best counter strike team in the world or something. Even people like JD and co. would need some acclimatization to play pro level SCII. Playing for fun is a different matter, but would Blizzard ship them all that way just for that? I wouldn't know, never been filthy rich. I just had a random, filthy thought of me becoming super rich, then paying tons of money to invite TBLS to my mountaintop mansion for a weekend to hang out in a jacuzzi while playing Super Smash Bros. No items, Fox only, Final Destination. XD Whatever they'll be doing, it'll be interesting to watch. Personally, I just hope that the Blizzcon Invitational will stay on-schedule with minimal delays even with random showmatches being thrown in.

Given JD's past music videos I have a feeling he would insist on playing Kirby regardless of what you promise to pay him.

I just want to know if these theories are either baseless or does carry some weight because people from SC2 fanbase have been posting it since the thread started and many of us here are like 'What?". Also, I may have a reason why you think BW fans are defensive about this. Because it's in the BW section and SC2 people are rampaging posting stuff some of us couldn't care less. If this was in the SC2 thread, you would have less BW fans spewing what you call "crap". What irks me the most is that I don't understand why people say "Oh Jaedong no team? COME TO SC2!" We're talking about a BW legend who currently is without a team because of the popularity of SC2. Show some respect. There's definitely a sentiment that SC2 is part of the reason why Jaedong is currently without a team. It makes us feel worse when a group of people decide to come in and start spewing nonsense about how an amazing BW players should come into the SC2 scene when he brings so much talent and entertainment to a dwindling BW scene.

I dont see how SC2 has anything 2 do with Jaedong not having a team but ok oO. His team pulled out of ESPORT not BW but ESPORT so i doubt it was because of SC2

There is nothing more a player can do to out play mvp he plays the game nearly optimally aside from a small mistake that loses him the game. Its just build orders now everyone can stutter step and the other forms of micro in the game now. that what i think

Likewise. Simply a waste of talent. Can you imagine Flash playing Terran as it currently is in WoL? Honestly, how much better could he play than Mvp? Not significantly, or at least to the extent of domination that earned the nickname "God" in 2010.

I can't believe you seriously think the whole game is figured out when new builds, unit compositions and usages are being made every month it seems like. SC2 doesn't even have its expansions yet. Its these kinds of posts that are troll bait for all the SC2 comments BW fans apparently "hate".

No one has reached the skill ceiling in Starcraft 2, and it is just as high or close to as high as Brood War. If anyone says anything different, they are just being cynical and trying to attack SC2 as a game. It's this sort of pessimism that damages the community. Look at the facts: No one has played a perfect game of Starcraft 2 yet. There is ALWAYS something to be using your apm on, and until you see a 40 minute game where a player constant has near 0 resources, no supply blocks and perfect micro and decision making on top of it, you cannot feasibly say the skill ceiling has been reached. That is not to say it is impossible to reach it, but this early into the games life? No way.

Yeah, call it a different game or whatever, but there are people who could not take a single game off Flash in a bo99 in Broodwar, but could probably pull off a 30% win against him in SC2.

We've hardly even seen what is possible yet, and every other day we see something totally new showcased that has everybody scratching their heads. This game is in its infancy, and it's just broodwar pessimists who are saying otherwise in order to try and de-legitimize it.

This game is in its infancy, and it's just broodwar pessimists who are saying otherwise in order to try and de-legitimize it. SC2 and BW fans treat skill ceiling as completely different. When BW fans say skill ceiling, they don't actually mean skill ceiling, its more like skill disparity. Although Jaedong would be brilliant in SC2 simply because he had a 80%+ ZvZ win-rate in what is the hardest matchup to play because of its coin-flip nature, he also has the best off-race play amongst pro-gamers, so he is a great all-rounder. That said, there is no muta-micro or defilers in SC2 and zerglings cannot be microed against marines. Without these 3 concepts, Jaedongs skill would be wasted, because it is his capitalisation of the usage of these concepts its what makes him so much more fun to watch than the other players. Jaedong would simply just be the next Nestea, instead of "The Tyrant" or "The Legend Killer". Same goes for Bisu without probe-micro, corsair/DT. Or Stork without Reavers or Carriers.
