Banshees are pretty good, no luck /w his scan on game 1 and then outmultitasked by forGG in game 2, almost came back but only almost :'(. He's in the up and down matches or not? He's in Up and Downs. Has to get top two out of five players in his group to advance. Luckily the players he'll face won't be as good as Forgg. Anyways, Polt lost both games because he couldn't deal with banshees. First game, okay, he missed with the scan and didn't see it coming. Forgg had two great escapes with the banshees, but Polt was stubborn and wouldn't build any turrets until he suicided like 20 marines and let half his SCV's die. Second game looked good. He stopped the natural expansion. He got his natural up faster, stopped the first banshee with a turret and cleaned up the tank/marine army on the low ground. It was all good until a few more banshees came, Polt stopped making turrets, let a banshee a-move kill almost his entire base and then freaked out, did a doom drop with all his marines, and did great damage, but had nothing left when the final push came. If he deals with the banshees, the games go on longer. Does he win? Who knows, probably the second one due to the faster expansion, but he failed when it came to the multitask with the banshee attacks. Polt is at his best when he can focus on one selected group, micro around that and storm forward. He let the barrage of air units destroy him. ForGG is easily top Code S class level, so he shouldn't feel too bad, but he needs to deal with that kind of harass better. Most players (probably any terran except MVP) could do what Forgg did to him, but Polt needs to stop getting behind early and fighting up a gigantic hill. I think the main problem is that he wasn't prepared due to the lack of information about forGG. He was greedy on the turrets (1/mineral line) and that cost him the game, a snd turret at his main would have save 10+ scv in the second game, because forGG wasn't microing at all this banshee. Multitasking is way easier if you're the aggressor, Polt tasted his own medicine. Anyway in the up and down if he plays at his stream level I think it'll be ok. I need to play a tvt right now, but bomber is playing T_T /e lurking was nice, posting is better, sign me in
Polt and ForGG have played on Polt's stream before, and I don't remember Polt ever losing to him. But usually it's bio versus bio and Polt crushes through.

Possible that ForGG isn't too serious on the ladder too.

I like Forgg, as a KT fan, but I wouldn't say he is better than MVP or anything yet. Polt and him had the same macro up to the derp points with the banshees. Forgg didn't even handle the Polt drop at the end of game two that well; in that sense, Forgg's multitasking wasn't the greatest and got most of his natural wiped out. In any other game, where Polt actually knows what a turret is, Forgg might be royally fucked.
Hopefully Polt gets put into a Up and Down group with a lot of protoss and players not named Forgg, rolls through and can get revenge in January.

If he just builds more than a single turret at both bases in game two, he probably stops the entire banshee attack by ForGG. It's frustrating see Polt, who can play so amazingly on the ladder and in the past in GSL, play so below his skill level in an important match. JUST BUILD TURRETS, MAN. THEY'RE GOOD AND NOT VERY EXPENSIVE.
... -___-
So basically ForGG played ok but Polt make huge mistakes? That's really depressing to hear.

Forgg played flawless, clean play for the most part and Polt made glaring mistakes against banshees. If Polt doesn't screw up to banshees, the games are much closer/could go either way. We didn't really get to see later games due to the early banshee derping.
Also can anyone translate Polt's latest tweet to Clide and JYP?
https://twitter.com/#!/Polt88

흑흑 so far as I can tell is meant to symbolise the actual sound of crying, so he's basically making the crying sound and then an additonal crying emoticon.
edit: I will never understand how the fuck google translate got sister out of that.

Polt is still great, he came back from Code A before.

Anyone know what Polt Studies in university? Apparently people keep asking him on the stream and he never responds.

Animal Biological Technology.
Animal Biotechnology
In animals, biotechnology techniques are being used to improve genetics and for pharmaceutical or industrial applications. Molecular biology techniques can help drive breeding programs by directing selection of superior animals. Animal cloning, through somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT), allows for genetic replication of selected animals. Genetic engineering, using recombinant DNA, alters the genetic makeup of the animal for selected purposes, including producing therapeutic proteins in cows and goats.[30] There is a genetically altered salmon with an increased growth rate being considered for FDA approval.[31]
He answered during one of his streams.

So Polt studies animal biotech, and NaDa studies computer engineering.
Fuck, how do the two of them manage all this shit?

IIRC, Polt takes a break at the moment and Nada results are not that good nowadays, nor his play. I think that Polt doesn't need too much sleep and has an huge. I'm not that much aware of how the Seoul University works but if it's like our western top universities the hardest should be to be accepted, not to do the studies, that just my insight from what I've experienced and gathered on TL.

I don't think this was mentioned, but Polt won the 3rd TTeSports Xmas Cup Qualifier back on November 24th and the 4th Starcraft Across the Galaxy Qualifier. He did lose to Phoenix in the preceding round of the latter.
