My name is sGs. but it says I'm not part of a clan. You have to request to join on iccup site itself. (Sign into sgs account, find sgs clan/team on iccup, join from there etc.) Someone also has to accept your request which might take a while, but usually it's a matter of less than a day.

On that note, could a manager please accept my request to join? I can't do /c m if i'm not actually in the clan

Not alot of activity on iccup from sGs imo, and those who are online doesn't want to play more than 1 game lol. Practice monster no? :>

I was thinking of buying BW (again:O..) and start playing .. this would be quite interesting ^^.

Im considering to pick up BW, im n1 in my silver league, and i switch between T and random. I want to play the most challenging race to get my mechanics in sc2 even better, i plan to play bw for a few weeks without any sc2 and see if my mechanics is any better. Any tips on what race i should play?

You can buy it again if you wish to do it, but you don't need a key to play on iccup.

Tips:
- Challenging race at the lower levels: Terran - You will certainly notice how much the mechanics differ from SC2 and BW when you get back to SC2 after playing 1 entire week of pure BW, you will feel faster - Be prepared to lose 90-99% of your games on iCCup until you get a grip on how to play BW - Do not get upset because you cannot win, remember that BW is extremely competitive and challenging and there is no fancy laddering babysitting you to win half of your games - Join op teamliquid for help, sGs players often will play and help each other (I'm sgsfabiano there) - Be aware that a victory in BW feels extremely rewarding - Do not get scared at the hotkeys, it may take a while before you get used to move your hand all the way to 'o' - Play on Fighting Spirit, good standard map - You will need to use all the 10 control groups, here you can't 1a to victory - Save camera position over your production buildings, I use F2 over gateways and F4 to the rally point. No MBS, so you have to click each production individually and set the rally. This way you F2, click on gateway, F4 and 'r' on your rally, repeat for all production buildings
Terran tips from a protoss player perspective:
- Siege tanks and vultures - Abuse mines, plant them at estrategic positions - Make turrets at your natural, you don't want observers spoting your tanks and mines - Make turrets around your base to prevent observers coming in and spoting how many factories you have - When engaging vulture vs dragoons, try to plant mines behind the dragoons so that when they try to escape they melt to the mines

Thank you so much, i will try terran then.

My first race was Terran and it was brutal. I've played Terran for a while back then and when it comes to apm and multi tasking. I was overwhelmed T_T but my buddy showed me Protoss and I learn the ropes from him. Now I mainly play Protoss and BW was fun again :D

Would you recommend Protoss over Terran for a new BW player, ive become a little fan of Bisu and Best after ive seen quite a few matches from ProLeague. Terran in BW dosen't appeal to me the same way as it does in Sc2. I guess I should test all the races myself instead of asking for what race is the best for me. The main point for me in BW is to try something new(old.. lol) and also try to understand the games from ProLeague because it is enteraining, but I dont understand to much.
Will go into Iccup as a part of sGs if i get in and try to become an overall better rts player.
