I read about news in magazine recently about case of cremation against burial, especially in America and Europe, that it is becoming popular and people want it for their choice, and I want to know what you guys think, especially that almost all are American.
As you know, to Muslim it is forbidden, because there are specific instructions that the body must be buried, and how to do so. In short, it is tradition, as it is not an instituted method of respect to dead, and in fact inceniration, eaten by vulture or beast, and left alone in the dessert or open are considered sacriligious. I try to understand this as tradition of my religion, and in fact afraid to go against it. But I keep an open mind, especially with all the modern influence in the society.
On the other hand, I perfectly understand cremation. It is practical, fast, and cheaper. There is less burden for everyone, especially for family. I also see one of its practical advantage is the less emotional approach to death. You can mourn it, but not really dwell on it as you would when there is body for days. Personally, I think I'd prefer this.
What do you think? Would you favor burial or cremation?

I can I get a vote for excarnation?
I really want the flesh picked from my bones by wild animals, and then my bones stored in a tomb.

They don't take up space or waste ressources, the dead bodies are actually getting mineralised to feed the ground they are buried in, and therefore feed ALL kinds of animals and plants. In other words burying is good for the nature, while cremation just wastes your valuable minerals and burns them for some useless heat. Think about it.

Death is just a scam for your money anyways. When im about to croak im gunna cover myself in BBQ sauce and go wander into the woods. Hopefully I will be eaten by wolves and my family wont have to pay for a ripoff coffin or urn.

Burial. Cremation is also horrible for the eco systems, no energy goes back to nature, contributes to the greenhouse effect etc. I mean, why not? Though I'd like to donate by body to science if there was a third choice.

I will be cremated after having whatever organs that can be donated removed, I would rather my body be destroyed than have it take up valuable space.
