Braid seems like another interesting choice for only a couple of dollars on the flash sale.

Anyone tried any of the games in today's pack? If you consider steam icons worth it though go for it.

I can probably squeeze out a few more dollars in games from his Steam wallet. Nice. Too bad I don't have family on Steam lol. It really does a nice job of playing with time mechanics. I will say that you might have to play 2 or 3 times to get the whole story.

Knights of honor is a mix of total war and europa universalis (totally underrated) Railroad tycoon 2 is very good and Rollercoaster tycoon 3 is ok too, since there is a fanmade mod that imports the old RCT 1 and 2 scenarios (who are actually challeging) into it. galciv 2 is comparable to civ 4 thanks for this list, can anyone recommend some other good strategy/city building type games?

You get rewards based on objectives, not enemies killed if i remember correctly. And there are mostly several ways to solve a problem. No generic sidequests, its all real story telling. Gameplay can be vastly different depending on your class, one class even rewrites the dialogues. And yes, there is stealth gameplay like in deus ex. Do not play malkavian as first char, you will have no idea whats going on.

Anyone here has played it? It's in my top #10 games. I'd say a step below Deus Ex or Thief 2 but pretty much up there with the best games I know. Wait. Which one are we talking about? "Redemption" is the 2000 game which was already damn decent. "Bloodlines" is the 2004 one which is even better imo. I have a hard time comparing the series with Deus Ex it's more like.... hmm... it's "only" a great rpg with a great story with lots of fun to be had. When I think about Deus Ex I think about having 20 ways to handle situations and being sneaky and all. For me the Vampire series was more direct and maybe even a bit more linear. Just saw, 5 bucks. Do it. If you enjoy good rpgs in terms of story and general freaky roleplaying (do _not_ play as Malkav in your first playhthrough) and aren't turned off by older graphics it will be fun. Also the haunted house still gets me even today. So scary and well designed. =S
