Not sure if there were even that many BW players in the world at the time. about 60k players in korea/taiwan ladder currently http://sc2ranks.com/stats/league/fea/1/all http://www.gametrics.com/news/News02_View.aspx?seqid=8095 starcraft1 ( 스타크래프트) currently about 6x more popular in bc-bangs that makes 360k minus lot of the taiwan players but since sc1 has been on quite a large decline lately, i guess about year ago 600k would be pretty accurate number of SC1 players, probably some article stated that number and it catched on as your average starcraft 1 player amount in korea edit: or he just meant out of 6 billion like stated above

So many opportunities thrown at him altogether all too sudden, hope he continues to believe in himself as he goes for the big titles.

He is playing fantastic and even despite the disadvantages, he can turn it around so quickly! I am rooting for him to win GSL and the OSL! I hope he can take at least 1 of the 2! Good luck Rain!

The elephant has been real this whole time, and it was obvious to anyone who watched BW compared to SC2 players. Most foreigner SC2 players are simply garbage and the rest mediocre with the exception of Stephano and a few others. User was warned for this post

Well he's always 50/50 odds or above 50/50 to win any match against anyone. He's proven it time and time again. I would call it even and be interested to see who wins.

I'm expecting Taeja to study up a bit on Rain, and have a little more preparation for the hardcore lategame Templar drop harass. He'll probably get more missile turrets and whatnot. Also since it is a best of 7 so I expect him to throw in some shinanigan's, which hopefully Rain will be better prepared for than in this series. All in all though I HOPE, regardless, that it ends up being a totally awesome mind blowing series!! :D

He always manages to provide entertaining games though, and has pulled off upsets before, so it's anyone's game.

Rain's strength is waiting to engage at the right moments. And drop harass is just a free advantage for him. He doesn't need drops to win. As long as he can move in position fine then he will win. And from the last matches it looked like he could force those against Taeja. Sun just has better map awareness.
