Think about it. They can bring back some of the people who have worked on the original six films. These people are older now, so they must have more experience at making and marketing good films, and we can imbue the films with modern production techniques like far better CGI and the rugged, relatable actors of the big screen today. A prequel setting will give audiences a better look at certain characters who have been previously shrouded in mystery. For instance, I don't think we've ever seen Greedo or Watto use a lightsaber in combat, but I'm sure lots of people are interested in that. It's a great way to expand on the story that has already captivated millions of people without necessarily introducing random new characters into the franchise that we have no connection to. And since the movie business is doing well these days, I'm sure there's a studio out there that could fund this movie with a budget around the size that a US presidential campaign uses, so you just know the movie will be good.

I don't really know how I feel about this, on one hand I'm like yay Star Wars, I like that franchise. But then on the other hand I really don't want there to be more of them because it is a timeless series the way that it stands right now, not including the first 1-3 of course. I just don't want them to mess it up even more. I don't want another Jar Jar Binks please...

Actually I'll shoot you down right away; all your ideas are terrible and you should be ashamed for posting them. Greedo with a lightsaber? What the fuck?

When the first Star Wars movie came out it was creative and new. Sure Disney can take that universe and with a good concept and story do something decently watchable, maybe even enjoyable while watching, but it wont be interesting. The original 3 movies were unique and by adding a sequel (or prequel) I feel in a way that you take something from them. Not much, and I know I don't have to watch them at all, but it still feels very unnecessary, except from a moneymaking perspective. I don't see why people here have so much faith in Disney? I thought Avengers for instance were pretty mediocre and intellectually pretty much garbage. Hateing on the newer star wars movies (ep. 1-3) and saying that they lost faith in lucasfilms but not hateing on Disney's history is for me baffling. The company is able to produce stuff like "Hannah Montana: The Movie"... But that's taste i guess. Just sad to se so much money get thrown into rubbish. The time when a movie like Star Wars could be creative, interesting and refreshing is pretty much over. Now it's more like an american election. In my eyes its pretty much impossible to do something good with a Star Wars VII. But hopefully I'm wrong

Though Disney might actually do a good job with the reboot or whatever. Interesting...

Yes, you can argue that the tech was new, but everyone is crying about ruining the triology when Yodais no longer a puppet but a 3d model

Just halt all star XXXX stuff for a few decades until the copyright and the writers are ripe enough. Push SF more into Kubrick's direction and don't even try any prequel or book adaptation any more.

Yep, thats why Forums are worthless pukebags. Everybody just pukes into them. And in the end, assholes like you guys say: HAHA! OUTSMARTED! I JUST TROLLED! HAHA! MY OPINION IS WORTHLESS! OUTSMARTED! Oh btw, i never saw EP 4-6. Feeling stupid now, dont you? User was banned for this post.
