Nah there are a few decent ones. The metal Cooler one, where Vegeta and Piccolo are superb. Or the one with the bad guy planting a giant tree, nice fights including Son Gohan.
I'm hyped for this tbh :D

It has sad music, it has intense music, it has scary music.
What more could you ask for?

Holyballs! I'm a HUGE fan of DBZ, this came as a shock to me and now i'm so excited.
Hearing Toriyama Akira is the one who's doing it puts me at ease to! Can't wait!

How many anime have you taken a look at?
Anime can be cranked out at super fast rates like 1 episode a week (AKA horrible animation)
and 2D animation in itself is quite hard and time consuming
It sounds like maybe you haven't seen enough examples of good anime animation, or maybe you just prefer a certain style(s) from somewhere else? (please share with me!)
For example, here's a film animated fight sequence that I find to be REALLY awesome + Show Spoiler +
And here is a panel showing the history of japanese animation and shows many clips from different styles/animators + Show Spoiler +
Even if you don't like any styles, the amount of effort that must have been put into this sequence must have been enormous.
Surely there must be at least one style used in anime that you like (not the character designs but the actual movement), or were you just referring to overall anime?

Thanks for posting the Sword of the Stranger video. I'd never seen it before and it was amazing.

How was that awesome in any way of that word? It was so fake. In a real fight, one swipe of a sword and you'd be lucky to get one parry off. The likelihood in that sort of situation is that one guy would be greviously cut and die of the injuries, if not in the first instance.

Oh so you're one of those people, that explains so much.
Edit: Nevermind that explains nothing, you weren't the one that brought up the original comment, you're just some jackass. Carry on.

You don't focus on the 'realism', you focus on the fluidity, clarity, and smoothness of the animation. I'd say that this scene could be transcribed into live-action and the shots would look exactly the same; which is to say, excellent.

Words cannot express my disappointment that this is not the case. Yamcha in DBE was a truly inspiring character

You haven't seen it...and your in this thread :O dude wtf? xD I watched this the day of release anticipating the amazing DBZ, being bought to real life, and the saga's all start. Going into this film in the back of my mind...no wait at the front i was thinking...man i can't wait until the Freiza Saga film comes out...watching Goku transform for the first time into a Super Sayian in real life..would be sick!
Alas my dreams were crushed as it was a shocking film that was just MEH, and spoiled everything DBZ is about.

Um, ever seen extreme martial arts or shao lin kung fu? Now please don't tell me that's impossible. A "real fight"... come on seriously? The animation brought the story to life, that's the point here. Doesn't matter if it's not like the average sword fight. These are people who fought in many wars and battles (remember, a lot of people die in this era...) so supposedly the ones who survive are already very "lucky" or rather very "skilled". You don't think this is possible at all...?
If you watch the rest of the film, there are many more "realistic" battles in which the fight is much shorter.
Also, what iamahydralisk and Thienan567 said.
