Usual rules apply. Balance whine will be moderated harshly. |
How can they show no emotion ? That was one huge crowd chanting and cheering for them, even the most emotion/personality-less korean, as some people like to picture them, would have shown some emotions.
The moment DRG dropped the GG, even though I was rooting for him, it was sop intense like everyone got up in a split second and everybody was screaming, and I was like " Yeah, e-sports bitch ! "
Awesome event all the way, got to meet a lot of people, I even have a picture of DRG ( he was standing right behind me at one point :3 ), and the games were good from my Zerg point of view
Also, glad nestea got 3rd place, he deserves it, this guy made the crowd go oh so wild :D

Nestea crying and DRG crying and MKP....well, he cries perpetually anyway, so it's not as special. lol
I feel these smaller tournaments do that better, Bring out emotions, I mean. With only four players, all the focus was on the four of them and it actually allowed people to see those guys being all emotional for once, which I think is a good thing.
That said, I guess most people wouldn't notice because they're a little bit stuck in "Koreans never show emotions except MKP who shows enough for everyone" ^^

Wait, why did NesTea cry?

Because he lost while I like to believe that he really wanted to win for the crowd
The only time I've seen someone getting as much cheers is probably white-ra at MLG anaheim I think, and still, we were 3700 shouting NesTea NesTea NesTea and making a ton of noise everytime he was about to say a word or when he finished his sentences in korean we were just shouting Nestea really loud.
You gotta watch the video on reddit !

a few thousands people chanting his name?

True fans supporting their players, even if they don't win. Who would have thought ?... The audience just love Nestea, it was the same during IS1

I don't know who's the girl, but the Manager is Reis, SK Gaming's manager. MC's manager in short.

I'm still in awe at the intro the tourney.

This tournament probably had the best spectator atmosphere ever. Period.

Ah, sweet. Thanks. She's probably either new to the scene, or just exclusively for Iron Squid.

Oh my, this was the best tournament ever.
|
They have released an article on the pomf et thud website tester d'autres:
"Si j'en crois Twitter ou Reddit, vous avez apprécié cette deuxième édition d'Iron Squid. Je dis "apprécié", mais visiblement, on est plus dans le superlatif Internet à base "OMG WTF THOSE FRENCH ARE CRAZY", ce qui, je ne vous le cache pas, remplit la team de joie."
I Can try to translate : 'if i trust Twitter or reddit, you did apreciate the second editon of Iron squid. I say apreciate but it seems more than that "OMG WTF THOSE FRENCH ARE CRAZY". And it makes us full of hapiness.

The Nestea chant is so unreal...next time MLG comes to Raleigh, I call upon TL fans everywhere to do the same if he's there...

The girl is Sung, she was recommended to us by Soju (the AfterSquid's translator), it was her first steps in esport, she is really cool to work with!
Edit: sorry for the late OP update, I rarely could go in the computer's room since I was running around all the time.

Poor MKP, he's going to stay the Kong if even that now with how fierce the competition in SCII is

Can someone link the interview with nestea after all the chanting?

If he doesn't improve his tvz he won't even be good enough to be kong.

We actually saw a lot of interesting "build orders match-up" which didn't end 100% in Roach-infestors. And even then, there was some very cool moves (like DRG bait against Nestea). Makes ZvZ watchable ! (Though I quite disliked the game involving full T3 compositions with ITs battling other ITs...).
