probably a combo of them not knowing and not caring thats the thing thats silly, They obviously know whats going on or at least should. But why wouldnt they care? thats an entirely different thing, If the alliance loses, sasuke and oro and the rest of their group will essentially just become dead puppets. Why I cant seem to understand how they dont care if obito and madara succeed. It could also be that they don't fully consider Obito and Madara a threat. Sasuke and Oro conceivably want the Kages dead and wouldn't care if both sides died out in the Great War. Likely, they feel that whoever comes out on top they have the upper hand and could beat them. That would explain why they are not participating as of yet. My guess is that Tsukuyomi is a pipe dream and Oro has researched it and knows it. Even with all Obito's elaborate plans and ten-tail etc, his jutsu is purely theoretical. It's not like he could have ever tried performing the jutsu before. So basically he has been working his whole life, doing all this stuff, to try to cast a spell that will probably not work. And that's why Oro is just lulzing all the way.
thats a possibility except for the fact that the tsukuyomi is already an established ability. The thing that from my whole understanding of it, the more power they have the cast is stronger and more people under it, So they need the 10 tails for the power and use the moon as an eye... Meaning that its theoretically probable. but with oro yes, hes researched the sharingan quite a bit but, if all the battles of him vs itachi says anything, i doubt oro could break something of that power. same with sasuke vs itachi, though... Itachi did essentially explain how to break out of it with the kabuto battle and why kabuto would never break it. The kabuto battle with sasuke explains alot about the tsukuyomi and its variants and use from history.
Nothing really explains why they are so chill though. Though seeing the dead former hokages was immediately beneficial for oro though, not so sure about sasuke and what they hope to achieve with any of this.

Actually It was Izanami, not Tsukoyomi that defeated Kabuto. It's more or less the hard counter to Izanagi, the bullshit "I'm invulnerable" sharingan thing. If anything, the biggest weakness is if you can really substitute your eye with the moon for an eye technique.

What I don't understand is what happens to everyone's bodies once they're inside the illusion. How do they eat/shit/breathe? Unless they all merge with the ten tails and go into a stasis pod or something. Then there's also the problem with Madra not knowing how big the world really is (multiple continents or remote islands). Madra's plan is retarded and Naruto's eternal peace idealism is retarded as well. I really just want everyone to blow up, imo.

I think in general the whole Tsukuyomi idea is kind of hard to believe. And I think it's a shame the entire storyline of shippuden has revolved around it. Oro's plan to attack the Leaf village in the first arc made sense. And the way he tried to pull it off was brilliant. The people he had involved with the plan had understandable motivations for being involved and obviously had trained for the operation.
Obito and Akatsuki on the other hand make no sense. In fact, the story's taken so many ridiculous twists and turns I can barely recall what's happened. Which is strange because I remember the first Naruto arc with near perfect clarity. Probably says a lot about Shippuden's quality of storytelling.
But the worst is Obito's motivation for this whole ridiculous thing, which is his childhood crush died. So now he's eternally emo. After getting crushed by a rock and giving his eye to Kakashi ofc. But then when he survived said rock crushing, instead of going straight back to the village and reuniting with his friends, his dear friends who he'd be willing to give an eye to and hypnotize the rest of the world for, he decided to sit around doing nothing. Right up until Rin gets killed by Kakashi. Makes total sense.

Not that I'm trying to imply that Naruto has a perfectly logical plot, with no plotholes. But obito did try to leave immediatly but wasnt able to because of the state of his body.

Huh, so Obito got out from under the rock, recuperated somewhere, and the exact moment he returned to the village, he came back to see Kakashi stabbing Rin? O_o

he couldnt leave the cave until after rin died, and his mind broke when Rin died so obviously he wouldnt go back after that

he couldnt leave the cave until after rin died, and his mind broke when Rin died so obviously he wouldnt go back after that Kishi still owes any form of explanation for that scene. I'm not exactly buying "Oops, I stabbed you", but aside from what fans guessed, there is not a whole lot to go around. It could make sense, but I'm not reading a story to make up half of it myself. I want the official version and Kishi didn't deliver yet.

i dont think well learn about it till after its done, the Jyuubi gone, Madara sealed and Obito lying spread eagle on the ground too tired to even stand and then Kakashi hobbles over and explains what happened that day

Did Kishi ever show what happened to the kage? I thought I saw someone say that they are ok but I must have missed it.

First Hokage's personality is like Jiraiya+Naruto.
|
Pretty... Weird story about the Uchiha clan. Maybe mangastream just has a bad translation, as usual. Because the outcome of it actually makes sense.
|
First great chapter in soooo long.
|
First hokage's personality being like that is a big risk I think. Portrayed as such as god-figure and then used as comic relief in this chapter..I don't know how to feel about it. But it makes it more realistic I guess.
So the first hokage knows the 3rd hokage....not surprising since 3rd hokage is same generation as Tsunade. I don't think this chapter told us much. I mean, we already knew MS was activated through loss of a loved one. We already knew about the backstory to Itachi. I don't see what good is this meeting by Sasuke to ask the hokages rather than just fill his emotions with more grief / hate / change of mind.
|
anyone else scared that the hokages won't get a chance to fight? i really want to see them in action.
|
holy shit great chapter ;o
