But u may assume that blizzard doesn't do something that would harm there sales, marketshare or brands on a long term basis. More involvement by blizzard (to a certain extent) is positive. Just wait and see.

However, I am convinced that Blizzard does no such thing. It would piss off MLG a lot who invested a lot to make ESF Koreans, then Kespa Koreans come over. And Blizzard would have to give ESL, NASL, DH, MLG a lot of money to keep them on their side. Plus, Blizzard isn't known to do such a thing, it would be a 180° turn on their policies. And one that would be perceived more negatively than positively by this community. Oh well, let's wait and see.

Wether it has its fans in its mind remains to be seen. Blizz gets the money from the fans. They cant make money without having them in mind. We are not talking about EA here....

I don't know how Proleague can continue without OGN's support, and pretty much all of e-sports in Korea is LoL and SC2. KeSPA doesn't control LoL league and if they lose control of SC2 as well, they're in deep trouble. I dislike this move by Blizzard, it just reminds me what they did to destroy BW in Korea. Now they're going to destroy an organization that pretty much made e-sports happen in Korea. Even though many people dislike KeSPA's practices, you have to admit that they were very effective in getting the job done, which was to stabilize the e-sports industry in Korea. The last line of DES's article also says that the KeSPA teams are already showing disapproval since Blizzard shows a lack of care for Proleague and they see no reason to send their players to a league sponsored by the organization that shows such a lack of care for KeSPA and its teams that worked so hard to develop the players. to be fair even proleague is so cheap in costs for us to watch, the quality is pretty bad, the english casters are unknowns you never see etc etc its just ... alot players stop watching it, for me its way worse then the bw proleague so its understandable On March 26 2013 07:24 b3nje909 wrote: But SC2 is a one off payment for the game. Like, GSL attracks alot of viewers that will buy the expansions. They wouldnt do something stupid that would endanger there marketshare. Maybe they have a new exposure strategy to battle F2P games, who knows #fight-for-exposure #SC@ above LoL on twitch

Not even MMORPGs survive on pay to play lol. It's an ancient system - nowadays, even huge developers like Crytek are leaning towards free to play; you can rest assured Blizzard won't do that lol. I think they will be merging OSL and GSL into one league. Probably making what was Code A more attractive, and increasing foreigner seeds or something of the sort.
