The point of TvZ mech is to do a 3 base push that just kills the zerg; if he holds the push you have to transition into sky terran as soon as possible. Apocalypse did a half-assed job at transitioning so he lost.
3b pushes were pre hives timing that were so fking scary in wol. You can't 3b push a sh player so you just split map and turtle on akilon or newkirk and tech to sky T. Which is a 1000times less mechanically demanding than playing bio/mines/hellbat styles, as well as being a 1000times less efficient (hint look at strelok/TLO games...) Mech can't work vZ on star station, even if apoc should have won because Moonglade couldn't defend the early game harass. But a strat which enable you to lose after killing 48drones isn't very good anyway...

Innovation and Flash etc. dumb? Emzee isn't unrealistic, if a bit snarky. Apoc should have made pretty much anything from his factories but Thors. Hellbats, more tanks, starport units. ANYTHING but Thors against mass SH. Pretty much. If Flash, Taeja and Innovation think that mech is good enough for them to use in important matches then it must be possible to win with. Especially considering the success these guys have had with bio.
yeah flash lost to bly of all ppl with mech lol. Tho in TvT it might become the go to strat.
