Does he get damaged by ignite while in stasis?
Edit: this isn't on the wiki.
And no... it doesn't. His passive is for all intents and purposes a Zhonyas.

No, Cleave does not trigger on on hit effects the wiki says. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Tiamat But his W isn't an onhit effect. Its coded similarly to Jayce ranged form W. I actually believe it does, but I not positive. I know if you use his auto-W it stacks BC four times. EDIT: Just tested it, the hydra splash damage counter is twice as much/three times a smuch on a W empowered attack than a regular attack. Sorry Chicken, you wrong on this one.

He's fine just because of his range and waveclear but his passive does basically nothing because the numbers are just so low, basically same as any other long range mid.

- preferably not champion pick-wise. - I know he is easy to gank. Had a really fun game as Aatrox vs him which was basically a 24/7 brawling lanephase of us going ham on each other at every teeny weeny chance, it was fairly fun both of us ended up with really low farm in lanephase and I eventually won the lane since we'd trade 1 for 1 whenever we had ults - eventually it collided with a timer where I had my passive. Don't really seem like a reliable option tho, and only feasible with Aatrox. I've never died and gotten so many kills in lane before. lol

I'm thinking it'd help not getting forced out of lane.

Yorick in particular, similar to champs like Pantheon, is a mana vs pots game early on. If you have enough pots to outlast his mana, you effectively pushed him out of lane. If you don't, then you are forced out and have to back. After he grabs his tear/manamune the matchup is no longer mana-based, and if you are really behind on cs then you won't be able to fight him.

I play Darius top lane, if that helps. Thanks in advance!

I would just compare two similar items, SotEL and Brutalizer. SotEL gives you an additional 10 AD, the passive, and the regeneration stats, and costs 663 additional gold. Brutalizer gives you 10 armor penetration. 10 AD is usually valued at around 400 gold (longsword), so the question is whether you would rather have the regeneration and the SotEL passive, or the armor penetration + ~300g. Furthermore, you should note that you would reach your item timings a bit faster with the Brutalizer. I personally would go for the brutalizer in most cases.

I pretty much only play Janna and Leona, so even if I personally fall behind my champion's kit stays relevant through the entire game (though I am hoping for advice that could apply to the role more-so than specific champions). I understand the importance of keeping up ward coverage (dependent on map control and what can be warded without risking death, etc) and proper use of my spells in fights, but beyond that I'm sort of at a loss. Hopefully some skilled support players have little tidbits of knowledge? Thanks!

There was some kind of math int he GD thread, where basically SOTEL is like, better than Bruta in almost every case On June 19 2013 02:06 Dandel Ion wrote: Not exactly true, Nunu totally beats yorick in lane. no at worst barring nunus jungle camping yorick all game, it'll turn into a farm lane and Yorick does alot more than nunu.

Sorry to ask, but I'm not LoL savvy enough to know whether or not the -10 attack damage is a huge nerf or not. I play Darius top lane, if that helps. Thanks in advance! It's good item. But as far as darius is concerned. Botrk is a super nice first item pickup.
