League of Legends is a casual F2P MOBA. You're never going to relate to an audience better than with a game like that. BW/SC2 are great esports, but they will never be more watched than League of Legends. And you know what? That's fine. I personally think League is stupid, and I only watch Starcraft, which is why I'm on a STARCRAFT forum (well at least subforum).

I have to admit, yesterday watching OGN The Champions Summer, all I could think of was "those fangirl screams are supposed to be for Jaedong and Rain and Jangbi and Flash and..." and it made me really sad.

Surely a high percentage of Pro Koreans would've have switched to Starcraft 2 keeping the player base and viewer base the same to the new game. Blizz did the opposite though. They marketed sc2 as ESPORT, while they should hav marketed it as a game that your entire family played, like they did with StarCraft. Accessibility first, esports later. I'm not sure I like this. As long as it doesn't affect proleague or osl anything I'm okay with it, I guess.

- because it seems that the bigger LoL is, the smaller SC2 is, I hate LoL. - what is more, because of LoL twitch.tv is lagging during every damn LoL tournament. So I am just very sad that LoL overtook Starcraft's position in Korea and globally.

May be that Kespa gets more "power" from this, stabilizing their SC2 teams, or it could mean that they concentrate more on LoL and dissolve more SC2 teams (probably not). I just hope this is not somehow used to strengthen their position and further cement the separation of Korean SC2. You say "probably not", but I'm quite certain they will. It's completely understandable after all too. LoL pulls more then three times the viewer numbers then SC2. For me it's sad, as I really dislike any moba game, but at the same time I've lost some interest in SC2 too because it gets a less and less popular e-sport compared to LoL and Dota. Looking at twitchs viewer numbers, LoL is ALWAYS ahead of SC2 even if a GSL Finals are live and no LoL tournament is running. For me it's saddening, and I feel like everyone telling you it doesn't matter for SC2 are kinda like these guys: + Show Spoiler +

So I am just very sad that LoL overtook Starcraft's position in Korea and globally. Huh? I've never seen anything to support that... I don't mind personally. I watch Starcraft, because I like Starcraft. If there are bigger games out there, that's fine!

It seems most esports fans don't actually like the games, they just want something that lots of other people like.

Only hots and ogn/kespa moving in has brought star 2 to a decent level in korea. Gom only may be fine for the foreign audience, but it would be a blow to korean star 2 almost as huge as the max fixing scandal in bw was.
