Also, the Chinese esports association (if I recall the name correctly), ACE, which is spearheaded by a World Elite-representative (the team doesn't have a DotA 2 team) has made it so that the elite Chinese teams can't compete in tournaments that have a prizepool below a certain amount of dollars, making the scene more insular and the top teams unable to compete as much as they're used to. So Chinese dota atm is in a very weird place.

Riot's representative said that holding global tournaments in Korea is like holding world cup in Brazil--it's crazily good. They hope regions will have more cooperation. don't know if that comparison was well chosen if one looks at Brazilian riots concerning the world cup atm

All in all, this sounds more like a LoL-only news item.

At least the matches I was watching. Normally EU/NA LCS are doing a good job to explain the games for LoL newcomer. OGN is directed more towards hardcore LoL Fans. About the Brazilian comparison I understood what they wanted to say but of the current situation over there. It wasnt the best comparison

MVP Ozone are just way too fucking good, stomping CJ Entus 3-0 last finals. Take that KeSPA!! Just looked that up. So MVPs LoL team has a title sponsor while their SC2 team cant even afford to send DRG to Dreamhack. Makes me fucking sad. Also what a terrible businessman MVPs owner is.
