Fucking wrists I really hope that in the future progamers will be able to go to a doctor that actually knows everything about pro gaming and the wrist issue that can come from it so we can see players being treated asap.
You tried no longer using the sheth board? That kinda looks like it shouldn't be good for your hands.

This is a really good advice. Starcraft is the more stressful game, especially if you have a competitive background. Stress can trigger a lot of old pain, which is somatically healed but your brain memorized the experience of pain.
I dont know, how it is in the US. In Germany there is a distinction between medical and psychological psychotherapists and I would definitely recommend a medical psychotherapist with specialisation in psychosomatic medicine.
I really hope you get well soon, Sheth!

Sad to read this =(

Its great to hear from you Sheth! I really hope that your hands and every get better soon!! I think if you're able to play games with an xbox or ps3 controller you should try and stream some play through's of some games, so we can see you again! I'm personally a huge fan and would watch you no matter what game you played! Hope all goes well and good luck with every! ~Big fan and lots of love! <3

I know I need to put out more information like "Well I'm retired" or "Its looking positive". I don't want to leave e-sports and I don't want to go into casting, but at the same time, my hands hurt way too much when I play sc2 to consider going back to it atm. I can play xbox games on a controller, or even a little of other games like League or Dota or whatever, but whenever I play even 2-3 games of SC2 my hands end up killing me that entire week. I'd love to have had that fixed by now. Its been over 6 months sense I had this hand problem. However I guess things don't always go as planned. I'm going to start part time college shortly. I'm trying all I can to fix the hand problem, but its sad because I just don't have any great news. I still follow the scene as much as I can, and root for my team mates. As for diet, its still fairly similiar to my last blog, So nothing great on that front. Just in a place where I'm really sad about my hands, because SC2 was my life. And by no longer being able to play games, or go to events I kind of lost a lot of friends, or at least interaction with friends. So just going on and hoping in the future. If you have any questions I'll do my best to answer em here. Sorry its not great news, but not too much I can do with hands like this. I will say over the past few months they've been getting better. For a week or two they've been feeling great, but then I played a few SC2 games and it went from no pain to lots of pain. So it seems very SC2 related rather then just typing on the computer or playing other games. I'm taking lots of supplements for my hands, and just trying/tried so many things for them. Anyway thanks for still having an interest in me even though I haven't released much information lately. I obviously still read TL all the time and love this community
Maybe its psychosomatic - have you tried a psychologist?
Edit: someone was quicker

Have you tried a physical therapist, Sheth? When I was having wrist and hand pain the doctor I saw kept telling me it was carpal tunnel and wanted to do an MRI. With that being incredibly expensive, I declined and asked if there was something else I could do, so they sent me to a P.T. When I went, it took the P.T. less than 5 minutes to tell me it wasn't carpal tunnel but rather stretched nerves. Since then, I have had almost zero issues (maybe once a month my wrists hurt for a few hours).
Good luck with your weight loss and wrists. Hopefully, we will see you competing again.

Your health&happiness should always be your #1 priority and anyone who is a fan/friend of your's will 100% understand that. The only reason people ask where you are is because they actually have the time in their day to CARE about someone they may have never even met before. This is something that very few people in the world can say that thousands of people they may have never met in their life actually care about them. Take care Sheth and do what ya got to do. It is a emotional response of feeling sidelined(and perhaps less relevant), and due to the wrists not being able to interact live with other gamers/community.
I would feel the same, even with such a great and supportive community.

We miss ya, dude. Don't be afraid to keep sayin' hey, even if it's just "No news, just chillin, hands hurt, sucks the d". You still have fans for more than just your play, don't think otherwise.
Hope everything starts to sort itself out, take care dude!

Thanks for the response Sheth. You mentioned being good with the xbox controller and there is this dude on TL who plays with the xbox controller. Maybe you can play with that too sometimes just so we can see you again. As always <3!

Probably hard to play at the same level, though.
Sheth is going through something that happens to all athletes, and it can be pretty depressing. However, the community loves Sheth for more than his in-game performance (Manner Bear! :3), so there's no reason we can't see him coaching and casting soon. I personally hope that if he can't rehab his hands, that he's able to transition into a coach/caster/community figurehead role. My first hope is that he gets whatever he wishes, though.
