I thought that was what the Swedish population did? Well, what basicly happend was Maddelisk questioning if Naniwa was right to pressure Wake by not allowing Thorzain or Miniraiser into the team. This was published in Swedens biggest newspaper and quite much split the supporters in two sides. - One side who thought that of course Naniwa can say / demand whatever he likes because he is the best player. - The other side thought it is not a solid solution to let the best player decide who is supposed to play for a national team (since that player one day can be Naniwa, another day it is Thorzain for an example. Is he then supposed to not play if Naniwa is in, and so on). Naniwa, who said he was not intrerested in the tournament in the first place, decided to back down when this discussion rose up. The fault lies with Wake to begin with. You don't let Naniwa decide the national team, which is what he did. In the end he lost all the good players ( didn't even manage to keep naniwa ) and ended up with this. The failure is on him. If I had the choice between Naniwa and Miniraiser, I would pick Naniwa tbh. I think you're missing the point. You're not making a choice at all. You don't let Naniwa make such ridiculous claims. Miniraser in a recent interview said that he understood NaNiwa and even though he ofc didn't like it he would have done the same thing in NaNiwas position if it a higher chance of him playing with a close friend instead. I'm sure he would. The fault is with Wake for accepting Naniwas terms, or any such terms from any player. What I dont get in this.... why is it even discussed. Id say we ended up with by far the worst team. Thorzain, Naniwa and X of course had been way stronger... (with Thorzain being able to practise of course. Having a study break and seeing him top16 EU makes me feel he is still quite strong when he has the time to put into it).

Definitely aligulac, more games and if you had bad luck in a couple of qualifiers you didn't even get into WCS in the first place.

The whole reasoning between "He is the best so he can do as he pleases" is weird. Just because you are good at something doesnt give you any "rights" or justify weird demands. Of course you can make them, but the weird thing more I guess is people accepting them. You would not accept a colleague of yours asking the boss to make you quit the job just because he is a bit better, right? I bet you would find that quite "weird" even though he probably is right to ask for it with that reasoning. Your analogy does´nt make sence. Again, he did´nt ask to throw anyone out. In your example that would be your slightly better co-worker declining a job-offer, because you work there. Do you still not see the difference from before?

Playing for your national team isnt an ordinary "job offer." One does not simply decline the invitation to represent his country.
