If you played wow you can probably guess, since it's Thunderfury .

I'm really enjoying the game again after the patch but at the same time I feel it will be fleeting. Once I find enough 'good 2.0 gear' there will be nothing left to do again. I don't agree with legends being BoA either, I think that really hurts the game. I wish even guildmates could trade or something even if that is exploitable. Overall this patch is a giant step in the right direction but without proper endgame, ladders, pvp, or something, I fear the patch is really a very small bandage over a gaping wound.
I do appreciate the more unique legendaries to promote build diversity, I hope they continue to add many more.
Also, is there a TL guild yet? (on NA) Maybe I should check OP. :D

Yes there is a TL clan on NA already, just search for it and apply.
Anyone interested in starting a torment 6 only hardcore character with me?
Edit: lol I don't think torment 6 is possible since it scales with your level, oh well.

Okay, I just re-downloaded diablo 3 after not playing for like 5 months, Wat do? Right now I got a level 60 DH, and 60 monk, and 53 Wizard. What gear should I be looking to go for on the DH and Monk? And what are some common builds and skill choices?

Just search Team Liquid and it should show up, though theres a few results, just pick the one with the most members.
To clarify, it's a Clan and not a community.

They changed a huge percentage of the skills and runes, so right now there aren't really any cookie cutter builds. It is mostly just find a good balance of aoe/single target resource spenders and fill in some defense, damage increase passives, movement, and resource generators. So far I think Blizzard did a good job with the class redesigning, especially with the wizard. I guess the real takeaway from this is just have fun and experiment and find what works for you, there is no right answer right now.

After 6 hours of playing, i gained over 10 paragon level and an overall improvement by + ~4% ( thanks to 3 useful items, paragon system and reworked runes) on my main char ... so much progress would have taken ages before the patch. I crafted a few items, but they fit very rarley, like pre patch. The new diamond feels a bit late to me. I was used to it since d2, learned how to play around them (cause of the lack of it) with d3, and now... well, let's see how they may can be helpful. Overall it feels clearly better than pre patch, but as mentioned before, without expansion pack, i don't think it can rejuvenate the d3 vanilla scene for a long time. Smart.

Where is the go-to farming area?

Act3: Keeps Depth 2 is very nice if farm it in a group on T5 or T6.

So far this new patch convinced me to pre order RoS

Tried loot 2.0 for a few hours. Liked the class redesigns, except DH resource management still feels gimped. Most other classes felt better and less one-dimensional.
However, hated how the game overhaul is a gigantic advertisement for RoS at the expense of vanilla D3. There's the pathetically blatant, like Crusader and level 61 gear drops (seriously Blizzard?), or the crafting material/requirements like Adventurer's Logbooks (not sure if there's more) or Amulets being uncraftable because they need RoS materials.
Plus the small annoyances like log books shilling the Crusader, Skill menus actually showing the RoS only unlocks, Achievement lists being full of RoS-only content, or the game setting telling you all the cool stuff you can get at level 70.
Not to mention how Legendary drops are the same crap-shoot (now without the AH fallback), and the only way to make them decent is by paying $40 for the option to re-roll. Plus the Legendaries I've found seem as meh as Loot 1.0, even if they had the right rolls, except maybe the 15% lightning stun ring.
Kinda sad that vanilla D3 doesn't get to exist as standalone.

Thats the same like in every Blizzard Game. There are always people who wanted to play WC3 Vanilla, SC2 Vanilla or D3 Vanilla forever, but all of the Expansions to these Games make the Game much better.
I doubt there are alot of people who don't buy RoS but still continue to play D3. Its definitly clear that this Patch is made with RoS in mind and things like the Mystic or some 61+ Materials are required to play the Game as it was meant to be.
But seriously, would you rather play 1.08 forever? :D
