Well. On that note. I'm going to go for a hot piece of dump. Who's in?

The contracts themselves should have some sort of clause that allows the employer to terminate the contract due to circumstances such as this. Plenty of catch-all language out there in the contract world. The statement could have easily read that the team was disbanding and GG, but obviously wanted to share some more intimate detail. If someone doesn't get paid, then yea it's an issue. Past events with other teams add to the skepticism, but contractually speaking it's perfectly fine to shut down a business and end employment. Paying out the team(employee) until the end of the month, a severance package in other words, is typical in many professions out there today.

My main point to Plansix was that while a healthy dose of caution is needed, unless we know 100% that the medical incident is a lie, we shouldn't be laying accusations(or w/e you want to call it) because it takes away from the main point of the thread which is that the team is going to close down. If it's false, I'm sure we would eventually find out about it.

Actually you usually assume things are false unless evidence shows them to be true, unless you know the person well or whatever, like a friend or family member. My law firm deals with people claiming that a debtor passed away all the time, which turn out to be lies. But it takes months to uncover that it that buys them more time to do whatever it is they are doing. I have had to appear as a witness in cases were people were charged with fraud for doing it. Or lying about their children serving over seas and being killed on active duty. The woman who did that is serving 10 years. People do shady shit when they owe money. From all reports this guy is not one of them and good luck to him and his family, but people do it all the time.
