Cant do that anymore these days. I guess, you can escape even with working full-time in EU LCS. Harsh, but seems legit, honestly, i don't see studying a problem to playing. Support, with all love, is like bottom of mechanical requirement, landing occassional hook, solar flare or binding with 1300 range ain't that hard and game knowledge can't be deleted from the hands and brains because you study. He just missed 2 LCS games because of studying, how is that not a problem? Also team has to arrange the scrim schedules according to his studying. And if you play less soloQ as a support that is a problem as well. We have seen that with Edward and nRated for example. And no way you can work full-time. Playing 12 hours is pretty standard. Some do less, but that has consequences for the performance.
I thought, we spoke about perfomance, because i don't see other reasons to being benched other than being classic wewillfailer but it's not the case. Everyone can miss games because of illness/exams/some other stuff.

So, in the end, wewillfailer survived for 10 games, not counting last 2. Last Summer he survived for 10 games as well.
Legit.

Doesn't Great Britain actually have own LCS? I just don't get why Turkey gets spot in Wildcards and Britain doesn't :D
Anyway, i guess, time to throw it here.
And i hope that at least one non-top-4-regions team will be able to advance, just because.

Well, if they got 1 wildcard and gave fourth spot to Korea, i guess, it could be better for competition, but still, it's ok. I bet, they won't be weaker than Saigon Jokers, for example. At least, not everyone.

Statements from Riot thus far;
1. Regions with 3 seeds have a 2-team per group max limit. 2. Regions with 1 or 2 seeds have a 1-team per group max limit. 3. Additionally, the top region seeds will be "protected" - so you can't have KR #1, CN #1, NA #1 and EU #1 in the same group. We'll announce more details on the group draw process later, but it'll be similar to World Cup with a few twists.
So the possibility of two groups looking something like what goes on below is totally within the realms of possibility.
Group A
KR #1 KR #2 CN #2 CN #3
Group B
NA #1 EU #3 SEA #1 WC #2
By locking the top seeds from each region into different groups, you're not guaranteeing the most equally distributed level of competition between different groups, and it's a shitty idea that stems from the shitty-bye-system from the past, albeit less influential to the overall bracket. The only reason why the four groups division format works for OGN (and even this is debatable), is because the top four seeds earned their fixed positions via reaching the latter stages of the tournament from the previous season.
It would be less of an issue if the number of groups were smaller (therefore allowing the truly best teams to advance to the round of eight), or if there was a way to accurately seed the teams (not possible). However, I don't get why Riot keeps insisting on having remnants of their weird bye-system being incorporated into the group stages. The OGN groups/brackets are random enough, even with their seeding and what-not, but by marrying the OGN tournament format with the previous horrendous Riot formats, the end result has something to be desired.

I personally like that they are trying to limit regional "team kill" even at the bare minimum of viewer experience it prevents match ups we've already seen, like who wants to tune into worlds to see C9 vs. CLG group stage games???
|
I'm just glad people won't be bitching about Redbeard rigging anything because he wants to be jovial with a player.

If the matches are happening at Taipei, Singapore and Seoul, all those visa applications will be a nightmare for teams from the disadvantageous regions.

It's not like Redbeard won't attend events, rofl.

Lol, i will tune in for sure. Not only because of being CLG diehard. Just hope that it will be bo2. Because, jokes aside, every game in Worlds is way more important than casual NA games.
