Mostly because that's the only category for which the iQue is better than VC/N64. Since the iQue's controller is different he doesn't want to confuse iQue tricks with VC tricks, hence only the one category. Well, it's not just character length always! e.g. Italian or Spanish is the fastest language version for Wind Waker. Wind Waker HD, Japanse is still faster for Wind Waker. And that's a bit of a unique example, for some reason the text moves more slowly in Japanese than it does in other languages. But in a lot of games the game is patched between versions, since they are not released at the same time, so one of them may have a glitch that makes the run faster on one version or the other. IIRC Twilight Princess is played in english because of a unique skip for example. Chinese is technically even faster, but not really an option most of the time. | ||
