I mostly play on stream, though when I know I am too tired for good commentary and I go on losing streaks because I cannot focus, I'll usually cut the stream and continue playing a few games on my own. Its simply exhausting to keep thinking and answering questions for hours on end, while still trying to perform well enough to climb into Masters. I'm not a machine ...
The best commentary will usually be when I start streaming, in about an hour or two from now, and then right as I return from my break. If you tune in just at the end, I'll have streamed for a ton of hours and my mind might not be the sharpest I hope it helps you improve though!

Alright fellas. I've updated the first post to be a bit easier to look through. I'm not all done with the benchmarking and stuff yet, but I'll get there. Sometime today, before I'm headed out to a birthday party, I'll be starting the next episode.
I've allied myself with a couple of low-mid-high GM Zerg players from my community, and have been granted some good replays. We'll be looking at how they aim to control their units in certain engagements with different unit compositions, before we'll discuss what works well, what doesn't work, and what we want to be stealing for our own play.
Regards, Jinx!
Edit: We're now officially back into Masters! Hoooraaay.

Just watched the first episode and thought it was awesome!! Jinx does a great job of teaching the game. He can actually talk and explain everything he is doing and play well at the same time. Highly recommend all new players to watch these vods and his stream!

So a setting on my stream has gone haywire and actually deleted some of the episodes that were meant to be saved forever. Thats a real shame. I'll be looking at what has been lost and attempt to redo those. That which has gone missing is actually quite a bit, so it is unfortunate. I apologise for any confusion or inconvenience as I remake these episodes when I get the chance.
Edit: Going to be resting a bit now. Tossing up the next livestream for all you Americans that want to have a look at how things go down in real time.

Going live with "Why mechanics are relative" in five to ten minutes. We're looking at those games you simply cannot seem to win, and how, through brutality and raw strenght, we'll overcome those obstacles in time. Enjoy!

Just tossing in an update. No, this series and stuff has not been cancelled. It just so happens that I've had 40 degrees (celcius) of fever for the past week. Way too dizzy to stream, and my eyes going haywire. I'll get back with more content for those wishing to learn Zerg as soon as I can play.

So I've been really, really sick, and spent some time in hospital. When I returned, I had all the exam bullocks going on. Now I'm slowly picking up SC2 again, and this series will be reworked entirely with my new streaming schedule.
I'm sorry for the long absence! ~ Jinx.

I have to say: thank you for this guide! I have been playing starcraft not as much as I would have liked to, but I really love the game and watch most tournaments. When I played a little more, I was able to get into plat once (which I know sounds too low for the general TL community, but to me it felt like an achievement after 1 month in bronze and 2 in gold :p), I was not a computer gamer and it was hard for me to play using the keyboard for some time hehe.
After reading this guide, I felt it was time to start playing starcraft again, and in three days I went from gold to diamond! I think the most useful advice was to not forget to inject during battles. Even if due to lack of micro it ends up worse that if I had been controlling, that allowed to me to reinforce with a lot of strength, or even drone a fourth base if the fight had gone well.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know that this guide keeps helping people ^^

Great stuff, hope you start streaming again. I've been going through the vods and still learning stuff even though it's quite old! Thanks for the stream

Yeah this is indeed certainly great stuff. It made me realize how crucial it is to bind every hot key there is to be within your hand's reach without moving off.
After watching your setup, I realized I had to change mine as well(which I did and I'm trying to get use to it now, pretty difficult but soon I should be able to be accustomed to it.
Thanks for the videos!
