Would suck a lot for Coast though. But then again they have dropped players fast themselves, so its only fair if it happens the other way around once.

Coast is going to make TSM pay an arm and a leg for him, management has to know they'll likely lose the expansion tournament without him.

Well depends on how long his contract runs or if he even has one. I would be surprised if he has a contract for next season when Coast doesnt even know if they will be in LCS..

It would certainly run through the end of the expansion tournament though, so TSM would have limited (if any) practice with him for the next two months and would have to use subs if there is a BOTA equivalent or if they play in IEM.

He seems like a slam dunk pick for them, because he can do some shot calling as well. Possibly because EG is also an LCS team that is paying him a good salary? All the TSM Helios rumors seem mostly driven by TSM fans and their wet dreams.
No, it's the best for Helios too. EG is a constant participant in the relegation system, so his position in the LCS is not secure with EG. Additionally, there is no bigger brand in LoL then TSM. Helios would make more money streaming and playing for TSM than he will make under the EG umbrella. He has a better chance to win worlds with TSM than he ever would for EG. Lastly, he has a professional history with multiple members of the TSM roster/staff, so it would be a comfortable environment for him.
It just makes sense.

That's why if EG find legit toplane, it's easy call to place them over TSM, right? (: But of course, Helios's relationships with Lustboy and Locodoco can't be understated.
Also, after next season there won't be any upsets in relegation tournaments most likely, training grounds level between LCS and CS is going to be waaaaay too big.
But anyway, i don't think TSM will care too much about paying some bucks for Santorin if they really want him, but it doesn't help their problems at all, Santorin is same jungle type of Amazing and basically worse k0u/Amin/Trashy, all this hype around him is just overrated, considering that guy is 0-6 in Promotion tournaments. (okay, let's forget about last Coast's 0-3 to EG, it was too messy).
Amazing required what, 6-7 weeks to drop that "i will carry you" mentality, Santorin will take even longer most likely so TSM will be extremely hard to judge whole season. But there will be completely new jungle so we'll see how it goes, even though, i don't think that Reginald and Loco want to really get physiotherapist for Bjergsen if WT is going to have same level of performance next season.

With LCS expanding + the 3 member rule, basically all major teams are going to have to curate scouting departments right? I mean, it seems to me that its a bad idea to have no B-Teams allowed plus have this expansion tournament. Basically, if you do have a farm team, the players (if good at all) will qualify for LCS now. Right?

I don't think it's really fair to pin C9E's failure on Santorin, dude had like one week to practice with the team and try to fill K0u's role. I mean, NiP gave Hulberto an entire CS split to try to mesh with the team and fill Amin's role, C9E were playing with K0u all the way up to the Spring CS final playoffs. Plus, Febiven, Odoamne, Hjarnan, etc. have all been established chokers as well given their recent 0-3 run VS CW.

Not sure that's the way Santorin signed his contract. He obviously was signed through the end of season 4. However when the contract was signed the expansion tourney wasn't even announced, I doubt he would have signed a 1.5 year deal with a team that wasn't guaranteed to be in LCS at any point so I'd say it's likely he is or soon will be a free agent.

I guess we need to wait a bit more to see how this turns out. Doesn't they need to keep 3 player from last split for 3/5 rule? AFAIK 3/5 rule only exists for promoted teams, not for teams that retain their spot. If it does apply though, gets interesting as it means Zion wanted out of Dig, rather than being cut. Shiphtur possibly confirmed to be team cancer? To clarify, here are the offcial rules on this:
3.2 Roster Requirements
Returning LCS Teams
No team may have on their roster more than two players at a time from any single starting lineup of a different team that played in either region of the LCS and/or any aspect of the Challenger Series (including play-in) in the last two completed Splits.
Entering CS Team
A Challenger Series team that wins its promotion match must play at least 3 members of the active roster that earned the spot in the LCS in the first game of the split.
Was first confused on this one, so had to edit. There is indeed no 3/5 rule for the returning LCS teams. You are only not allowed to have more than 2 from a single other team, so that you can not import a complete preexisting roster like EG did.

Wait why is LMQ gone? A top 3 team in NA just disappeared....
And santorin wasnt even the top eu challenger jungler, below k0u and trashy. Dude has an uphill battle.

There 1s no need to howl at teammates though. Forg1ven, Copenhagen Wolves. Shouting at teammates, yeah it's gonna be forgiven Also some speculate it to be bang because SKT T1S, landing with wolf and communication = SK telecommunications. Seems like such a stretch and SKT needs an ADC next year http://www.ongamers.com/articles/lmq-announces-departure-of-vasilii-ackerman-noname/1100-2279/ Ask the question and it will be answered lol. Ackerman, vasilli and noname leave lomoQ. Ackerman is going back to China to be with mikasa :>, noname retires and vasilli is looking for an NA team

This is not the reality I wanted ): One less reason for me to watch NA LCS now; time to revert back to watch the TW-HK half of GPL next season. (I've forgotten the name of it alr >_>)
