I'm lagging pretty much in mines sometimes, and not only while streaming O_o Still didn't found the reason why. Playing with high graphics quality.

If it's only sometimes but very consistent it might be their servers. Has been for me a few times.

As for Zuna's list, I'm higher on Zeratul, Stitches, Abathur, and Azmodan than he is (to the extent that he's not). Yes I agree with you. I'd also add that nova is too low on both tier list. She's still a major pain in the ass when played well especially in solo queue. Yeah, Nova is too low, too. I just refuse to admit it because, as a Zeratul player, I hold Nova players in contempt.

ive got the game 2-3 days ago, have no exposure to any kind of mobas whatsoever, but im liking this one so far... short format, casual approach, it works for me
but i do hate the fact some ppl dont play it like its objective based and will even bm you for not laning, while losing every fight and/or objective in the process "cuz gotta get that xp" ^_^

Good to hear. I started to zero in on her somehow, but actually haven`t seen anyone noticable playing her. Guess she's were my first 10k gold will be spend. Probably will i will never reach a level where it would matter what hero i play anyways.
Also, is there a system/schedule behind the free hero rotation?

So whose cock do I have to suck to get a beta invite?

It changes weekly on Tuesday. The free heroes selected are not uniformly distributed so there is no way to know who will be free.

I got Sg. Hammer as my first buy, because she felt nicest out of the specialists in the hero tryout, and specialists are seldom more than 1 in hero rotation, and sometimes locked behind the level barrier.

It's definitely a balance, you need some xp after all. I played a ton of coop to learn the ropes (and level the free heroes). People are much friendly there... unless you are somehow losing then they get mad really fast lol.
I saw this yesterday and it might help you get started: http://imgur.com/a/CKYRH

Huh, cool. Than it should be about time!

Happens at 2 am PST in the US, the same time you get a new quest / also the weekly reset time in WoW.
Not sure if EU does it one the same day or what not.

You should just add us, it's much easier for new people to add everyone, I don't check the list that often after the first initial groups were added.
So to all the new hots players: don't be shy and add us!

What do people think about Emerald Wind versus Flash Heal? I've only played a few games, but flash heal is a lot easier to use if nothing else. Plus it helps you juke when their entire team decides that their sole goal is to kill the brightwing.
|
I think Emerald Wind is slightly better than Blink Heal in general and massively better in certain comps and against a lot of comps.
It's like Void Prison in terms of flexibility / utility.
Offensively, you can drop it against over extending enemies to deny them the ability to retreat / push an enemy towards your party. It's great at pushing healers out of range of their front line. You can drop it in certain situations to completely lock players down as they're pushed up against terrain. You can use it to steal merc camps. I've stolen some camps by Pixie Dusting in, dropping Emerald Wind, capping, and then running away with a combination of Polymorph and Rewinded Pixie Dust and Polymorph. It's also good at protecting offensive abilities like Strafe or Ravenous Spirit. Nazeebo or Valla can pop Strafe or Spirit and you can Polymorph / Wind to stop people from interrupting them. The damage is also nothing to scoff at.
Defensively, it's great at stopping hard engages like Leap, Judgement, and completely denies Bloodlust. It also stops abilities like Strafe and prevents a lot of Wombo Combos from working. If you don't like the position you're engaged in, you can wind and get your team out. If an enemy team is chasing, you can wind and stop them. . It's also good at saving people who are out of position. Blink in, Emerald Wind to peel the enemy off them, then run away with Pixie Dust (this is a bit risky, though).
|
Blink Heal is pretty good in "solo queue"-enviroments. Whenever you can pull off ballsy shit with a team, Emerald Wind becomes better because of the utility-usage, where-as the heal is a retard-saver.
|
Yeah I've been pretty confused about the ulti choice on brightwing, I played him a lot and had much more success with blink heal. I watched a few competitive games and they all seem to pick emerald wind for the reasons stated by brian333. However blink heal is really good to escape/make plays too especially if you are playing with blinking/dashing assassins (zeratul, illidan).
Overall i'd say blink heal is better for small skirmishes while emerald wind is better for big teamfights. Obviously high level games are more teamfight oriented.

I've honestly stopped playing heroes due to lag issues. Ever since this last patch, I can get through about 1.5 games before the game starts lagging no matter how good my internet connection is. I suspect it's something to do with the graphics settings, but I've tried them on low, high, and medium to the same basic effect. It's playable, but there are so many dropped frames it's extremely hard to react to snap things which makes the game not fun.
|
I haven't had any lag issues at all other than occasionally on loading the game I am 4 seconds. 8(
