I'm finding it hard to track down any useful info as a newbie though. Stuff as simple as the gun mechanics and what operators have access to what weapons/grenades etc. All I can find is a million people telling me that thermite can breach reinforced walls. Like yes, thanks, I got that the moment I started the game up. I would love: Images of each map showing the common area names (eg. "garage", "B window" etc.), and maybe even main access points Some kind of cheatsheet showing what operators can equip what gear Weapon stats/mechanics Does any of that exist? EDIT: okay found r6maps, halfway there

It prioritises teams really heavily, so it groups bads with bads and golds with golds, and then if the search expands far enough it just straight up matches Team Potato against Team Gold instead of breaking them up for a balanced game. I can see why they do it and in other situations it's really nice to play with the same guys a few rounds in a row, but man does it suck for newbies. I've had three games in a row with nothing higher than lv30 on my team and nothing but 100+ gold+ on the other team. Two plat IIs once. Like, I know I'm a potato but at least put me against other potatoes. This is crazy.

Liquipedia started in 2009 and has now 9 wikis and is the biggest wiki for esports. In 2016, we introduced our Alpha Wiki program where we have a signup form for people to let us know what wiki they would like to help us set up, and once we feel confident we have enough potential contributors, we install and set up the bare bones of a wiki. We reached that for Rainbow Six and we hope that there is enough interest from the community to build a sustainable wiki with us. So if you wish to help out and start editing, you will need to register an account on TeamLiquid.net, then you can log in to the wiki. If you want to know a little bit more about how editing a wiki works we’ve got two help pages to get you started. http://wiki.teamliquid.net/rainbowsix/Help:Edit_an_Article http://wiki.teamliquid.net/rainbowsix/Help:Create_an_Article We have started the process of setting up the needed backend templates and the first thing we are working on now is getting things ready for both current and historical tournament pages, team pages, and player pages. We only want to have pages for pro teams and players and only tournaments with cash prize pools. For most wikis, we have a set of guidelines for which pages are notable enough to be included, but with a new wiki it’s a bit trickier to set the bar right, so the best bet is to start with the big names and then start to work our way down the list. You can use these following pages as rough templates for players, teams and tournament pages. Player: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/rainbowsix/Willkey Team: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/rainbowsix/GiFu_eSports Tournament with GSL group stage: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/rainbowsix/Pro_League/Year_2/Season_2/Europe Tournament with bracket: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/rainbowsix/Pro_League/Year_2/Season_1/Finals To keep in touch with us and each other, we have set up a channel for each wiki on our Discord server at liquipedia.net/discord. Feel free to join us there, both when you need help, and to help others. It’s easy to collaborate if you can talk to the other people working on the same thing as you. /The Liquipedia Staff Team

How does everyone else feel about this meta? Cause I'm pretty sure I'm not a fan.
