Sticking your feet in the landing area of a shooter or bullshit.
Kobe held a press conference after someone left their feet in his landing area. I guess that's the level of whining required to get the NBA to wake up.

Demoralizing loss. This is the salt speaking, but it's far from the first time Zaza has made a play that could have hurt a Spur, including Kawhi. I just hope Kawhi is ok. His health is more important than any game in this series…

They went +20 against Kawhi-less Spurs in like a quarter :-/

Without TP, Kawhi was their primary handler. Patty is not a true point guard so it was either old-man Manu or Simmons. Gotta give Simmons credit, he stepping up in the playoffs, he's gonna make money.
And Zaza is gonna receive death threats lmao

Not surprising, despite some comments, Kawhi is their best player. And one of the leagues MVPs. Hopefully he can return or GS and Cavs might meet in the finals both undefeated!

It's hard to blow out an opponent when you're down 25 at one point in the game.

Yeah but they had a legit shot, especially up 1 game. Now, I doubt the Spurs will win a game after a loss like this vs a team this stacked and fresh. My salt is also of a very high grade.

Bruce Bowen karma finally coming home to roost.

i feel like klay will end up getting traded at some point
|
Probably depends on his personalty. If he is happy being the 4th best player on a super team I think he will stay because he fits the roll perfect. Great shooter, willing passer, + defender. If he wants to "be the Man" be paid like it and get stats like it then GSW will trade him to get some value back. But honestly it seems from the outside like a love fest over there I don't see anyone asking out and everything is working so well I don't see why they would change it up.

It feels like Klay's personality fits in as a 3rd/4th option. He's not an attention seeker. Also, his game fits in well for it. He's just not consistent. If he's shooting 50% for a series, he's doing it with a bunch of 80% and 20% shooting games.
|
welp, after Popovich's big speech today that covered such topics as zaza, manslaughter, and intent i guess zaza can't stand under any more shooter landing areas the rest of the playoffs. just like Olynyk can't dislocate any one else's shoulder.
maybe Golden State can have their 11th player in the rotation stand under LBJ a few times in the finals.

There are too many games where he looks like absolute dogshit on offense. Game 1 against the Spurs was one of those. He was a total brick machine.

Pretty frequently you'll dip your hand in the jar, pull out 11 marbles and only 2 of them will be green. a 43% shooter going 2 for 11 ain't that rare. and, San Antonio has a good defense.
in baseball guys with a .430 OBP have dozens of 2 OBs for 11 plate appearance streaks throughout a year.
of course, if you notice something amiss in his shooting stroke because he is playing hurt.. that's a whole other analysis.

I totally get that shooters have bad days -- particularly when they're up against good defenses. But Klay Thompson was bricking wide open looks against the Spurs. And he does it far too often.

SA does have an uncanny ability to know when to leave 3 point shooters wide open.

That said completely sucks for Spurs and Kawhi. At best Zaza's a reckless oaf, at worst, well he's the Georgian Bowen!
