Terrain imbalance... Can be curbed by I think a few simple changes. There are some interesting changes that I'm sure you will hate for hates sake, and I'll be honest the complex changes I'm unsure about, but certainly believe they can be balanced with playtesting.
Scanner sweep
Would it be alright if the area revealed was reduced? Right now it seems a bit easy for terrain to spot zerg tech, no matter how hidden. This nerf wouldn't do much. I think it would be welcomed. Making it 75 mana would be another option. But that might forceterran to turtle against protoss.
200/200 armies
Terran is pretty powerful when maxed out. Could terrain live with +3 arcalite damage and not +5 per upgrade? Buildings could live a fraction of a second longer at least. Also, it seems most people would be fine if vultures were 100 minerals. Vultures costing the same as a zealot seems like a good call. 3/5 is the golden mean, so I'm confident that the Arcalite nerf would still have great gameplay interactions.
Terran has 3 detectors
I believe oov suggested a scout be a detector. The sc2 spell "envision", that makes the flyer a detector for a temporary time interval, would be a nice addition. No upgrade, and the scout shares the mana upgrade of the corsair. "Revelation" would be the alternative. For zerg, I think parasite should make the affected unit a detector. 2 queens could become 2 detectors, or make a random hydralisk or lurker or mutalisk a detector. The queen needs versatility. I'm open to seeing parasite at 50 mana as well.

Shield battery
This thing is silly. They made it start with additional mana. Why not just make it start with 50, but heal 2 shield per 1 mana? Alternatively, for 50 mana the battery should just heal 150 or so shields. Both ways would allow the shield battery to have some use late game. I like the 50 mana/150 shields, but the 1 mana/ 2 shields could be set to auto cast. The auto cast 2/1 would probably be best. Both would be sick.
Scout and wraith atg damage
I'm sure there are many ideas for this. Higher rate of fire, more damage, etc. I would like to see the wraith deal 10 explosive damage, like how the hydra was buffed. It will stay constant with hydras, superior with goons, and weaker against miners. Same for the scout, but 13 explosive damage would be sick. I think the fact that these would be nerfed against miners would keep them balanced. Go stove!
Drop ship cloaking
I know. Left field. The drop ship is the only transport that costs vespene, which is fine, I just want something to go along with it. Sharing the wraith upgrades, like how marines and firebats share stimpack, would be cool. Between lurkers and dark templar, terran doesn't have a hard hitting cloaked ground unit. But an invisible drop ship with a tank is pretty close.

First, let's give it auto repair. Is that OK?
Second, can we nerf its health but give it 1 armor? I'd like to see dark templars 1 hit kill scvs. And as much as I like FD... Jesus I don't want to kill FD... They are a bit tanky. I know the scv has so much health because of 4 pool. 1 armor goes a long way against lings. At 45 HP with 1 armor, scv will still be 6 hits to kill for a dragoon, but zealots and dtemplar will murder them quicker. I know, I'm playing with fire.
So... Reduce scv health. Make mutas medium bodies. Reduce Goliath aa damage. And possibly tweak build times by a few seconds here and there. Buff corsair and valkyrie damage if you need to. Hell start from the beginning all over again. Dark templar should 1 shot scvs. Right?
Its that or start with 6 miners. Oh this got silly fast.

It would be neat if they did some campaign improvements. Made heroes like heroes of the storm characters or something. There are so many ai mods out there right now. I recall watching sc2 beta video, and Mr terrible damage shows the ai zerg retreats its hydralisks in the face of siege tanks. That would be cool.
I hope they do the full treatment for the side campaigns. Shaezer the space pirate? Comic book cutscenes and voice actors. Hell maybe another piece ro the shaezor story or something. And just bring the campaign all together, on one big screen. Put in the demo prologue maps instead of terran missions 1 through 3 or whatever. Maybe that n64 mission 1. And squeeze shaezor missions in between the campaigns. Make the secret missions just part of the campaign.
And I know its not canon apropios, but medics and devourers and stuff in the vanilla campaign would be nice. It would be really cool if insane campaign was at least possible... Zerg sending guards at me when I can't even build a Goliath.
