Edit: Of course I can't have any happiness. I just can't. Kaep hired a lawyer and will file suit against the NFL owners for collusion to not hire him.

Nebraska announced the hiring of athletic director Bill Moos, who vowed to return the Cornhuskers to a position of "the hunted" in college football. Moos, 66, comes from Washington State, where he has led the athletic department since 2010 after serving in the same role at Oregon from 1995 to 2007. He agreed to a five-year contract at Nebraska that will pay him $1 million annually, plus incentives. He will start in Lincoln on Oct. 23. Moos replaces Shawn Eichorst, fired on Sept. 21 because of the poor on-field performance of several Nebraska programs, primarily the football team. Nebraska, which won more games than any program nationally and five national titles in the 1970s, '80s and '90s, has not claimed a conference title since 1999. Third-year coach Mike Riley is 18-15 at Nebraska and 3-4 this season after consecutive home losses -- including a 56-14 defeat to Ohio State on Saturday night, a game that emptied half of Memorial Stadium at halftime. Source We have our AD. Now we need a damn HC. Looking forward to the rumors and end of the season. *glares at sig*

Frost is a no for me, since he's got a good thing going at UCF. Not too sure on who else we could hire away really. Maybe Mack Brown?

He's 66 and he sounds like he doesnt give a shit or know what's going on half the time he's commentating. I don't see him going back anywhere. Too old and too much work and he's got plenty of money. Miles is 63 too so that's kind of borderline old but he could give somewhere another shot. Just don't see that many guys starting a new job at that age anymore

Disagree - if Frost had a 'good thing going' at a P5 school then yes, it makes sense to stay, but to jump from G5 -> P5 is a no-brainer (happened with Fleck going from WMU -> Minn). Miles - the only school I see him coming back for would be Michigan. Maybe when Harbaugh leaves for the Colts?

Miles isn't too old. Give him 5 years and he can groom an coordinator to take over. Just long enough to establish an identity and move things forward. Mack was just me throwing out a name. I rarely listen/watch him on games most weekends. If they can get someone like the coach from SDSU to come (has a pretty good record year in and year out), then we could try that experiment. But all in all, we need a coach that recruits, name recognition, and winning history. Nebraska isn't really the place for people like Riley or Frost who are inept or too young. (if any of that rambling makes sense).
